March 20, 2013-air 21 picked up my application kit
April 4, 2013- medical request received
April 10, 2013- Had my medical exam at St.luke's.
St.luke's told me that the initial result of the physical exam, lab result and x-ray are all good. if I will need to go for further testing they will just call me but until now, (its been three weeks) i didn't receive any call from them. does that mean I passed the medical examination and they already submitted it to the embassy? if so, how long do i still need to wait to received the visa results(approval/refusal).

I got my student visa last November pa, pero di ako natuloy for various reasons. ANYWAY, super mura ng fares ng PAL. Naka book kami ng family ko ng Manila to Toronto (for July - mag babantay kami ng pamangkin hehe) na USD733/head round trip ALL IN (as in even travel tax and fuel surcharge!) tapos for December na $2600+++
buy one take one na business class! Ang mura.
Yung ticket na nakuha ko noon na Cathay MNL-YYZ-MNL was $1300 yata tapos yung sa Korean naman $1500. Regular price ng PAL is around $1700 yata for economy class. Mura na talaga ito kasi kung one way kukunin niyo eh usually parang $900, more or less.
Same pala yung fares for Vancouver.
Super haba nga lang ng pila and nakakaloka, pero worth it naman yung hintay.
FYI lang! Good luck to everyone!
hi luckygirl. ikaw ba ung mag early childhood education sa Seneca. parang naalala ko lang while i was reading weeks ago. thats also the 1st course i've shortlisted.luckygurl said:Sa Seneca ako...sana dumating na med request naten
hi peggiechua, peggiechua said:Sa tingin ko hindi advisable na ilagay sa SOP na may balak ka mag settle down sa canada after you graduate. Though lam naman ng mga Visa officers un ung balak ng most applicants, but it's better to be discreet and prove na malakas ung ties mo sa pilipinas (family, assets, etc) and may babalikan ka pa din.
In my case, since balak namin whole family na kami punta, three years course ni hubby, ang plan namin bayaran na ung buong tuition fee for three years, in that way makita talga ng VO na talgang tatapusin ni hubby ung course nya and hindi pupunta dun para maghanap agad ng employer and convert ung student visa to working visa, which most applicants are using this route. Kaya napaka higpit na ng mga visa officers. I'm just praying nasa di maka apekto sa application namin na nag stay ako sa canada for 10 months, though may proof naman ako na nag extend ako, praying na di nila ito gawing reason.
75k seems too much, Paul. We're using a Canadian-based consultant and she only charges 1k CAD (around 40k PhP). And even so, it's easy to apply on your own. Colleges and Unis have pretty straightforward application procedures; as well as applying for the Study Permit from the Embassy. The only reason we're using a consultant is because I've already been declined a TRV.paulv4444 said:Good day to all!
This is my first time to post a comment here sa forum. Been reading this thread for quite a while. Meron po ba dito, who will apply for red deer college?
Just want to share something, I consulted an agency sa may ortigas, sa likod ng galleria. Processing fee is 75k, is it advisable? Or kaya naman sarili mo lang? 75k is not a small amount.
Thanks!
Paul
Yup I applied to Seneca for Early Childhood Education.emeraldfairywinx said:hi luckygirl. ikaw ba ung mag early childhood education sa Seneca. parang naalala ko lang while i was reading weeks ago. thats also the 1st course i've shortlisted.
if ikaw nga yun, i have a few questions that i hope you would be kind enough to answer
- does the course need IELTS / did you include IELTS in your app?
- did you email the school your TOR or what reqs did you email them?
- how much is the tuition, 10k something sabi sa website nila, ganyan din ba sa yo?
- did you pay for 1 yr tuition na?
- incase, ma reject ang student visa app, will they return the money to us?
- yung may coop or yung wala pinili mo?
- no personal appearnce when applying for sv na noh? im confused lang coz i read some comments detailing their interview experience?
Oh, i see! Thank you for your advice. Another question if i may, I am a BSN graduate, the consultant told me since i will study in canada in a different course (applying for Automotive Service Cert). I should apply as a Highschool graduate because surely, the VO will deny my application. Is this true?JainaFel said:75k seems too much, Paul. The VO will wonder what you've been doing for the 4 years you were studying Nursing. You must be able to justify this gap on your SoP. If you do choose to declare your BSN, you can write a strong SOP explaining your shift of career and what you plan on doing after graduation from the Automotive course.paulv4444 said:Oh, i see!
