@Floje: On the topic of MERS, although the news of deaths is devastating, it's actually classified as a Level 1 threat (Practice usual precautions) by the CDC and the Public Heath Agency of Canada. (Infographic for travellers here) It can only by transmitted by close contact from person to person, or by coming in contact with camels (which I'm sure you wouldn't really find in Seoul lol). My mom and my friend's entire family went to Korea in May during the early stages of the outbreak and they were fine. Just make sure to wash your hands, avoid sick people, and stay away from camels haha

I think watch and necklace is ok. no need to declare. unless OMEGA or ROLEX ang brand. I'm planning to buy din laptop but I think sa Canada nlng ako bibili para I can claim the warranty in case magka prob.

Also have the same question regarding the bringing of cash. From what I know, 10k is the max but that's a bit risky during the travel. I was thinking, since bayad ja 1st sem, maybe lass than 10k plus creditcards? Or bank certs?

Floje, I opted for the cheaper ROG. SSana lang dumating sa store today. Sana tumaas ang candy crush level ko nito I checked online and yung specs ng bibilhin ko is wala pa yata sa canada and I need to install/copy all of my softwares/ files from the other computer.

Tipsy, basta may international warranty, no worries naman. I just had to purchase mine here for business purposes. Yung camera, sa canada ko nalang bilhin hehe

I am bringing less CAD 10k, para no need to declare. Then, I have a Scotiabank pre-arrival deposit and a letter support from my brother, the one I submitted along with my application plus centennial receipt.

I guess scorpio, you can bring the receipt of centennial, cash around 5k for safety reasons and copy of your bank statement. mag hotel ka ba or staying ka muna sa relative mo?
