Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

New in this forum.I want to ask is it possible for an international student after arriving in Canada to defer his/her admission for another year?
Let's he /she suppose to start in September 2015 and defer it to September 2016 after arriving in Canada?
Guyz out there' please help me out.

In my humble opinion, there there might be problems. As a student, your main purpose is to STUDY. Once you defer, you take away that activity. Also, I think you have to submit your grades (or the DLI submits it to CIC) as proof of being a legitimate student.

mic-mic is right, you will be in violation of the terms of your student visa and will be basically staying in Canada illegally.

Anyway, I'm worried about my medical exams tomorrow. They are going to test creatinine levels, right? I'm taking Fenofibrate for my hypertriglyceridemia kasi, and just found out yesterday na nakakataas pala ng creatinine levels yung fibrates. Pero bahala na.

hi floje! afaik, they only check for crea if you are known diabetic. yun yung nabasa ko sa Nationwide Health. You call the clinic and ask kung kasali yun crea.

Floje, ang test daw nila is HIV, syphilis, TB, durgs... parang ganun... kasi humihingi ako ng copy ng cholesterol, sugar, etc... e di naman daw kasama sa test nila yun... I think you should disclose any medical conditions you have para alam nila agad. Ang pinaka importante is handa ka maghubad sa harap ni doc

I overheard someone during my medicals na may enlarged heart siya pero dala niya yung medical records niya and I think ok naman din yung kanya kasi nakita ko din siya nung hapon for the MMR. Usually daw kasi, pag may problema, di ka aabot sa MMR stage

Floje, hindi -- kailangan hubad saka yuko hahahah j/k

The doctor might ask you for a creatinine test after your interview with the doctor. Pero discretion na rin yon ng doctor. Crea is not a required test.
They might also ask you for additional tests for your hypertriglyceridemia ... but don't worry, I don't think it will take as long as a sputum test. Relax lang!

BTW, tama si Floje -- dapat may whatsapp or FB group din tayo para connect pa rin after we all get there

Waaaa! Kaw talaga scorpio! Hahaha! Anyway, thanks. Sana di na. Di ko na lang i-disclose yung hypertriglyceridemia ko, unless asked. Yung interview part ay sa huli naman di ba? Kung ano mga magiging results, dun ko na i-didisclose. Okay lang kaya yun?

wag mo na kayang sabihin. sabihin mo di mo alam. d2 kasi before coming here may medical test din sa POEA, dugo, urine, hubad din lahat then doctor have interviewed me. I told them na may hika ako, hayun may further exam pa as if may tb ako. Hika lang pinalaki pang issue

mas mabuting wag mo ng sabihin anyway, you are handling it naman and eventually magiging ok.
