Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Bago po ako sa forum na ito, nakapag apply na ako sa FSW2014 pero di po ako pinalad na umabot sa magic 1000 under ng category ko, balak ko sana mag apply as a student visa at nag sstart na akong mag basabasa kung papaano ang procedure at malaking tulong po itong forum na ito at maraming info ang matututunan. Balak ko pong mag aral sa Alberta dahil nga po may privilege na makapag work habang nag aaral any advice po anong first step gagawin? TIA po

when you applied for FSW, lam mo na nakarating ka na sa CIC? have they rejected your application? nabigyan ka ba ng UCI?

look for a univ admission then once admitted ka saka ka makapag apply for study permit. first, i think you need to get IELTS muna.

Naibalik na yung application ko and walang UCI na binigay dahil hindi umabot sa quota. yung IELTS na kailangan ba ay Academic and ano ang minimun score dapat? depende ba sa requirements ng university?

ang nagbalik is from CIC na pero walng UCI na nakalagay, ganun pla yun maliit na pala chance ko makakuha ng study permit anyway ttry ko lang kc mahirap na ang mga entry to migrate, ano po ang minimum na score sa IELTS Academic?. Thanks a lot for the info.

^^ For most universities / colleges in Canada, kailangan maka 6.0 overall with no score lower than 5.5 sa lahat ng modules.

I don't think your past application will affect your study permit chances that much, as long as you can prove that you are a bonafide student at may babalikan ka sa Pilipinas pagkatapos ng study / PGWP mo.

Ang nakikita ko lang sa yo na magiging challenge mo:
a) established ties to home country = since hindi ka nga nakatira o nagtatrabaho dito, you have to show the embassy STRONG proof na may babalikan ka sa Pinas after your study (even if eventually ang intention natin ay mag-migrate). Maraming sumasablay dahil matagal na sila sa ibang country, not the country of their birth, at wala na silang ties sa home country nila. Is your son here in the Philippines?
b) course = you graduated ECE pero yung career mo is Network Admin (IT) ... usually kasi kailangan mag-match yung intended course mo sa natapos mo, para logical progression ng studies mo. Pero if you have about ten years of experience in IT na, you can justify it with a solid statement of purpose with your application.

Last question: Nagpopost ka ba sa PEX? Familiar yung username mo eh.

sabi ng kuya madali nlng dw pag andun na basta lng daw babantayan lng dw ntin ung mga dates pr laging valid visa natin. o nga pla, s LOA mo b nksulat validity ng study permit? kc iba daw un temporary visa validity at study permit validity, pero kc ung study permit s POE na dw mkukuha. baka s LOA nksulat na ung date ng validity?

Yes magkaiba po yung date na nakalagay sa TRV ko and student permit (LOI) nabasa ko sa cic kaya daw magkaiba and mas nadagdagan yung validity ng stident permit is kasi they will give additional 90 days to apply for PGWP after matapos yung studies mo. Sa LOA ko and nakalagay lang is exact date matapos yung schooling ko

Un ung sa tingin ko, but dont be discourage. Kasi ako, d nko nag apply for migration kasi alam ko d ako maququalified iba kasi degree at work ko d2 sa UAE. So what i did, long planning. Kuha ko USA visa, byahe then kuha ko Canada visa byahe saka study permit apps. Mahina kasi family ties ko. As in mahinang mahina. Single, no parents, no assets etc.

Yung min ng IELTS aca depends sa univ at prov na papasukan mo. I suggest magsearch ka na ng mga school sa alberta at mag inquire ka kagad kung balak mo sa Sept.

Mhirap mapatunayan na bonafide ka s CIC if may intentions ka na magmigrate. Plus mahina country ties kapag OFW ka kasi nakatagal ka sa ibang country. Finger cross nlng.

S BC kasi formal and with format. Sa IDP, interviewer mejo linient cla especially when you are correcting your grammar due to nervous. Un ung experience ko sa IELTS.

Assessing dual intent

A person’s desire to apply for permanent resident status in Canada may be legitimate. An officer should distinguish between an applicant whose intentions are bona fide and an applicant who has no intention of leaving Canada at the end of their authorized stay if the application for permanent residence is refused.

In assessing bona fide, the individual circumstances of the temporary resident applicant must be examined; refusals of non-bona fide temporary residents may only withstand legal challenge when the refusal is based on the information related to the specific case before an officer.

In assessing an application for temporary residence an officer may also consider factors such as:

the length of time that the client will be spending in Canada;
the means of support;
obligations and ties in the home country; and
compliance with requirements of the IRPA and Regulations applicable to temporary residents (visitors, students and workers).

So the burden is on Gon Freecs to prove the four things above.

hehehe...ke Gon baliktad, intent to migrate muna nangyari. mejo magkaiba ang approach. Like us we apply study muna then eventually magmigrate. sa kanya since d cya nakapasok for migration, study nlng muna then migrate.

ngayon lang ako naka login ulit, ECE is somewhat related narin sa IT, yun din and problem my wife and son are with me dito.

Thanks din sa mga input, oo nga try lang ako mag apply, tumitingin na nga ako ng university sa Alberta, ano yung VAC?. Actually noong 2008 nag apply nako ng FWS noon wala pa silang limit e nag labas sila ng ministerial order na ibalik ang mga applications until feb 2008 sabit yung sakin kaya binalik, then may mga lumabas na FSW pero wala category ko, then recently yung FSW2014 nga pero di sila satisfied sa experience ko palagay ko yung mga reference letter ko doon ako sumablay, ngayon yung express entry napakahirap salang sala ang mga nabubunot, although may profile narin ako doon baka sakali, pinaka mabilis talaga kung may employer kaso napakirap din kumuha ng employer hinigpitan sila ng goverment. Anyway try ng try lang.

well, challenge nga ang "home ties" sa yo, but don't let that deter you. Galingan mo lang pag-prove yung home ties mo (investments, properties, what your plan is after you graduate from your course ... if you can ask your current employer for a guarantee letter of a job offer after your studies, do it )
