I will just buy in Canada once I get there. Are you in vancouver??? Where in van can i buy cheap winter clothes?? I seriously need a tour, because I have this strange feeling that I'll be hella lost. ONE MORE THING. How many KILOS am I allowed to bring anyway? and how many carry on bags?? I am already packing my stuff (excited much) and I feel like I bought my whole room with me >.>

Hi, check ur airline to see how much they have for free. Usually 2 free check in suitcases 23kls each. And a carry on which is max of 7 kls.

Marami sa mga malls mga cheap but warm and nice winter clothes. You font need to buy those from northface, marks, or any sikat na brand.. Once you get here, marami ka pagpipilian.. You can check with your airlines regarding your baggage but mostly 23x2 check ins and a 7kg hand carry.

Google map is my bestest frnd especially nung bago pa lng ako dto. It will tell you what bus and which way to your destination

Kelangan po b ng affidavit of support? Kasi po financial docs (income tax, salary certificate & bank accnt) ng parents ko lang po yung nasubmit ko. Huli na ng malaman ko 'to ito dito.

@wondergirl..hi..winter clothes b kamo, naku madami s 2nd hand stores kung d kaw maarte,mura na at nakatulong ka pa..hehe..meron din s mall,..i stayed in bc for a month, gamit n gamit ang google, d ka mawawala dun..nglalakad nga ako dati kc d ako marunong sumakay s bus..lol at may mga bus stop..madali lng,kya d ka mawala dun..
lagay mu n s clearbook mga docs mu para d kna magkalkal paglapag mu at be honest. declare mu lahat anu nirerequire s form..God bless..!

I applied online. Looks like there would be fewer requirements online, but it would still be up to you how you want to make your application strong. For me & with my understanding based on back-reading on this forum, I submitted important & relevant documents, even those not on the requirement list, plus with my best SoP, of course. Just remember, it's mostly 0% chances of getting interviewed by the VO(s), so might as well provide them just enough (but not scarce) information to give them enough proof to approve your Study Permit. May data limit naman for upload, di ba?
It's a hard & scary experience..but with PRAYERS, HOPE & FAITH, we all get through!
Are you planning to do the paper-based or online?

I am already having a hard time keeping my reservation sa mga airports, kasi I am leaving on a day na napakaraming papuntang Canada, so, I am just really having a hard time keeping up with my seat reservation >.< kaya di pa ako sure if what airline ako kasi nageexpire pala ang reservations sa airlines. (bummer)

I have already compiled my stuff in a clearbook- I'm just waiting for my LOI

Did anybody here went to Canada recently and didn't present any MEASLES vaccination? or am I really required to get a booster? Kasi I already had that vaccine when I was a kid.. would it be okay if di ako magpa-vaccine ng booster?

Hi, recently I got my MMR Vaccine and got a certificate from my doctor.

it's also very convenient to travel via PAL, kasi their flights to Canada are every Wed, Fri and Sunday. Their route is Manila-Vancouver-Toronto with 18h 10m total travel time and a layover of 1h30m only. kasi if you fly with other airline like Delta you have to get a transit visa pa. Although meron din naman Eva Air, Cathay.

This is my concern:

I have been living in Thailand for 9 years planning to submit Study Permit for Canada.

Is it possible to have my study permit done here in Thailand?

I just printed the address and all contact infos ng kung saan man ako magsstay and same bank certificates ang pnakita ko. Tho, hindi nmn nla talaga binusisi mga documents, just bring everything na lng dn (same sa pinasa mo sa embassy) para wala na silang questions. And don't wory about looking lost, there's always a first time for everything, you can always ask directions.. enjoy your flight..

Hello gail! Hehe, I just read your post here. Nag-chat na tayo & all..so funny. I know you aced your exams again, expert! Ako, every week may exam, ok na yun instead of having multiple in a day.
I could also suggest for people looking clothing & stuff to shop online, others do or don't charge shipping, though.
Luckily, the immigration officer just asked for our passports at Van airport, didn't asked a thing. She just told me & my husband to sit & wait. We were so nervous & I was almost reciting the Holy Rosary. In like 5minutes, she handed me our passports with the permits in them. The Lord truly provides in amazing ways! Sabi Nya siguro, "super-stressed na itong 2,give them a beak."
