Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hi guys. I just submitted my sp app today and now im overthinking (more like panicking) because i forgot to attach my academic records during my online application... will this be a ground for refusal?

Hello, as far as I know, hindi nmn kelangan ang academic records when applying for sp. Only the loa.

My nababasa ako na sinasabi nla pag my kulang and they will email you pano mo isubmit. Pero minsan, hindi rin.. Like for example, merong kulang ng nbi and that's the only reason na nrefuse application nla without requesting for it. Don't wory, you'll be fine. Nagsubmit dn ako ng aplication ko without my academic records.

I am only studying for 6 months kasi may pinapaaral sakin na additional learning, for our company before kami gawwing major contractor ng isang customer, i have no plans in staying in canada naman talaga, just for the sake of this specific upgrade lang.

I submitted my nbi clearance naman, along with my letter of explanation.

I submitted passbooks along with my parents affidavit, worth 1.5 m and 5 land titles. Should i have submitted our business permit? If no, wwill that be a reason for refusal? Im so paranoid na hahahah

Anyway, anyone who is applying in George Brown? Target kong mag apply para sa September 2015 program nila. However, parang di pa available yung intakes nila sa website? Is it too early to apply? Thanks

Hey humdrumdum! Thanks for the inputs! I did check some colleges in ON and found that Humber and Sheridan have programs that are very related to my background. Humber for example, have Global Business Management; however, a quick search here reveals a lot of bad feed back from the students so I'm still undecided on that one. Sheridan has this graphics diploma program (forgot the program code) that could further enhance the efficiency of our business. I'm leaning towards the graphics design but I might also jump to another one incase I don't find the program suitable to my needs. If you think about the cost, a two-year post grad's tuition is almost equivalent to a master's with a one-year duration. What's nice about the colleges in ON though is that the staff are very friendly and prompt even in replying to emails (and we all know why ) Ryerson on the other hand tend to take a lot of time before replying. Buti pa si York, mabilis sumagot ;D

Question : Post secondary education is anything above highschool right? So even a diploma for example can make you eligible for CEC?

haha yep, I haven't heard much about colleges in the East as most people really go for the big universities, and I don't really know much about technical institutions there either... The popular ones are in BC and Alberta (which are BCIT, NAIT, SAIT) If you're really in it for the long term, I think a diploma is a practical stepping stone, if you'd like to think of it that way. A post-grad credential would go a long way if you want to advance your career in Canada, but a diploma is a quick and easy way to get a job in the first place. Just my two cents

Re CEC eligibility: Yes, post-secondary is anything after highschool, but it will ultimately depend on what type of job you'll have when you apply. Not all jobs can allow you to be eligible for CEC. More info here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp

I guess becoming a PR would be more practical for you as you already have a family, I was thinking of suggesting the PGWP route, then again, nvm hahaha

Hi maxplank858! Most schools open applications for the Fall intake sometime between October and November. They usually don't close until September the following year, or until slots are full. In the case that all the slots are taken, they will put you on the wait list.

Hello po ulit. Off topic question lang. For those na nandito na sa canada, how did you transfer funds from the philippines to canada? We have a peso bank acct sa bdo, sabi nila open a dollar account then wire transfer. pero ayaw nila diretsong palitan kasi malaki daw. Suggest nila is to buy ng dollar sa labas then open dollar acct then ideposit. Medyo tedious kasi pag ganun. Any easier way? Tia!

Hello.. Nope, same application na lng dn un. Tho you have to download, fill up, and upload it again sa specific tab for trv before submitting the application.

Hi gimikerangtravelera! I'm scheduled for IELTS on the 10th and 11th. Mahirap ba? We just got back from Canada so no time to review pa kasi dami inaasikaso dito (our baby is still trying to adjust with the weather, ako and si missis, ganun din). Thanks sweetnovember14! I did take the reading practice test. The good news: was able to finish it in 26 minutes. The bad: 9 mistakes! at least now I know I should not really rush it as much ;D

Humdrumdum! I did find other programs relative to my field: Graphics and Packaging designs. Unfortunately, it's only a diploma course so the Global Business Management (a post grad) is still my current best bet even if it seems to have a bad rep ;D I'll just maybe bank on the PGWP after finishing. It's just the job opportunities and current wages that I'm a bit skeptic about as most people and even strangers that I randomly talk to in my commutes/malls tend to advice against taking business and just get into a health related program. One long shot I'm thinking of is just getting another bachelor's degree with the hopes of my units being credited and would just end up taking the majors. ;D

Hello everyone, I hope someone here can enlighten my situation.. I got an email today stating that my passport has been dispatched, what's bothering me though is that I haven't passed my medicals yet..my schedule is on October 8, I am really puzzled. Anyone here in the same situation as I am?
