what made you decide na sa VIPM ka? anong course mo? sabi kasi nung nakausap ko less daw ang refusal kapag publicly funded yung school and sa manitoba pwede raw marefund up to 60% ng tuition kapag nagwowork ka na. marami ka ba kasabay na nagapply sa VIPM?
as for our case, nasa VANCOUVER kasi mga relatives. and my parents are just 3hours drive away - seattle.
kaya yun. pinagpili rin kami before kung vipm or red river college, there's a difference kasi sa tuition fee.
good thing we decided at once before kasi i heard there was increase of tuition fee narin

no notification at all po, as to my partner's case po.
unlike FSW, lagi may email to notify ka what's going on with your papers. pero for student permit - all we did was to wait.
i think kasi sobrang short lang naman yung waiting time. like in the philippines 2-3months, you will already know the decision.
whether for MEDICAL REQUEST OR (wag naman sana) REFUSED... or sometimes INTERVIEW / ASK FOR ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS...

check my partners timeline po.
for him, it was really a fast and smooth flow...
Hi Kyle. I cannot speak filipino. Please alaborate in English.
P.s they have stated that applicants from Japan will have to wait for 10 days only.
Please elaborate in English.
Thanks

hi sopidopi,

i have missed a lot for the past days. nako sorry wasn't able to reply agad. actually it's not me... it's my partner who is applying. im pregnant kasi so i choose to stay muna, then later on, once naka settle na si hubby... sunod narin kami.

im happy to know na you are going on the same institute. matagal ko na nga gusto sana maghanap ng kasama si hubby para atleast may kasama siya pinoy once he get there. we are both nurses - it is important talaga that the course should match to your previous education. kasi super strict sa assessment. yung previous post ko nakwento ko how arrogant and doubtful the visa officer was as to asking kung bakit yun ang course na kinukuha niya. im glad my hubby defended it well. (praktisado kasi!) haha! ayun, after all the visa officer had a kind heart naman pala, and 3days after interview MEDICAL REQUEST na...

are you for OCTOBER INTAKE too? what part of the processing are you into now?
thank you lord may mga makakasama rin pala siya pinoy sa VIPM
Hello po :) yup i'm also hoping for the October Intake. ako nga din po naghahanap ng makakasabay na pinoy lalo na I don't have relatives in Vancouver and I am also thankful na meron nga. :) yung sa processing ko po I also had my medical done already last September 13 pa po. sa St. Lukes extension clinic. kayo po ba? I am just wondering kung bakit wala po akong interview. ano po pala sabi ng mga consultants po sa inyo kung gano pa katagal waiting time? all these anxiety is killing me already but God is great. Let's claim the approval and release of our visa soon! Let's pray for each other po ate :)

ang proof of funds most likely, bank books. bank statement for 2 years and assets. halos ganun naman po :)

IVC is really a trusted consultancy firm. they've been in the industry for decades. and you will really feel their intention of helping you out once you commit with them. pag nag apply ka, you will be assigned to a visa processor. our attorney has a good expertise na sa pag process. gamay na nila ginagawa nila. now it's up to you kung gano ka kabilis mag comply sa lahat ng papers mo na need. and all...

hindi naman sa sobrang inaadvertise ko sila, but you know, it was really a GREAT HELP that we chose them. no hassle. no delays. right on time lahat. saka nako, kung makulit ka mag follow up sa sobrang excitement mo pumuntang canada, mas dobleng kulit sila mag ff-up sayo. hehe! NO REGRETS... as of now, naghihintay nalang kami na isubmit ng nationwide ang medical result. so far okay naman lahat, 1 week palang kasi. so i really cant say at this point... 2-3 weeks kasi before submit daw sila sa embassy...

it's your choice talaga... they say a good decision results to a good ending... TRUST IN THE LORD AND NEVER DOUBT

Hi kyle tagal mo po nawala ah! Salamat sa mga reply mo. Ask ko lang po kung original documents po ba ang pinapasa like passbook, school documents etc? at magkano po ang estimate na magagastos lahat lahat kasama tuition at processing fee?

hi talha21...
i have to say sorry i was writing my comments in tagalog. i thought you are a filipino too coz you are here in this page. anyway, as i was saying...

considering the case of my partner - applicant for SP. we did not receive any notification. if you try and read other's cases too... most,if NOT ALL dont receive confirmations. we just have to wait. unlike for federal skilled worker that they do notify every single action.

since the processing of SP takes only 10days for japan, then i guess there's nothing to worry. if u dont receive anything in 10days, wait for another week. then thats the time you send inquiry... if you trust that your documents are okay then i guess you shouldnt be bothered...

Hi, I'm considering studyin gin Canada and I've went over some of their laws about working while studying there.

I've read here that you can get a work permit for 20 hours a week while studying after you've been stuying for 6 months:

(I'm not allowed to post links but google "Work off campus canada work permit")

and it's written there that you must return the work permit when you finish your studies.

also here it's written that when you finish the degree, if it's over two years, you can get a work permit for an additional three years:

(I'm not allowed to post links but google "working after graduation canada work permit")

So just to be sure:

If I study there, I can both work while studying and stay for an additional three years after that to look for a job?

I mean it's nice that I can get a work permit but there's nothing written there about a visa, do I also get a visa if I'm eligible for this three years work permit?

Hi,

Everything you need to know about work permits such as OCWP(Off campus work permits - where after 6 months of studying, international students can work for 20hours/week), PGWP (Post Grad work permit, where if you finish a recognized Post secondary course of min 2 sem/8 months/1 acd. year.. in Canada, you can apply for open PGWP), Work permit for pursuing CO-op OR INTERNSHIPS can be found on the offcial CIC website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work.asp

PGWP: Study programmes of minimum 2 sem/8months to less than 2 acd, years/4 semesters = will get PGWP equivalent to the duration of study course.
Study programmes of 2 acd. years/ 4 semesters or more = will get you a 3 years PGWP(max possible).
Here is the list of recognized educational institutes, listed province wise, which are participating in OCWP and PGWP:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/participants.asp

So, best is to study an appropriate 2 acd. years/ 4 sem/ min. actual 16 months of study programme, then not only you can start working part time with an OCWP after 6 months in Canada, but also you will be eligible to get 3 years open PGWP, after your studies.

Regards

i've had doubts before, when we were still statting with the application. this was one of the question i raised with atty. alarming if you read it, lalo kung di naman talaga tayo experts in immigration rules... pero yun nga, i thought it would still be better to approach and seek advice to those who really understand all this...

first and foremost... vipm is not included in the list of participating schools who offer OFF AND IN CAMPUS WORK... that's based on the cic.website... as to my readings, wala pa po ata ako na encounter na list of campuses who can only apply for PGWP... on how i understand it-PGWP are those who studied in canada... period. (again,im quoting words as how it was explained and understood by me)... vipm is offers CO-OP WORK... co operative work. it's part of the course/program they will take. co-op program is like the classic OJT in pinas... pero the difference is that THEY ARE PAID... first 6months will be part time. next 6mos. full time.

i was able to talk to the canadian administrative officer/representative of vipm, who was really approachable and patient in answering our questions... he guaranteed that once my partner lands in canada and starts in his studies-they will find him the most suitable employer for the co-op work. he will still undergo series of exams and interviews just like the usual job seeking steps - and assured that they wont stop till he get one. now if they like his work, there are chances that he can apply for a work permit... something like that... so there... nothing to worry... btw, vipm has a lot of connections. if you try to google andami nila job vacancies for a whatever position... yun lang ma share ko... kasi i guess when it was discussed to me, i know that's enough to feel secured na... may bagong program and ivc... yun yung S.W.I.M- the legit way of migrating... study-work-invest-migrate... you can read more in their fb page
