My parents did their medical 2 months ago and no PPR yet. I have emailed them yesterday and got the following reply:

"Dear Mr *****,

Your mother and sister are destined to the Province of Quebec and must have valid Certificate of Selection (CSQ) issued by the Department of Immigration of the Province of Quebec. The CSQ for them expire on 28 August 2011 and this office is awaiting new CSQ from the Department of Immigration of the Province of Quebec.

We will be in a position to finalize the application when the new CSQ are received."

Does anybody know if it is a automtic renewal process or I have to go through the whole application process and all? It would be extremely difficult for me to do that. Damn! It's so close but.......

Please share your experience if you have any!!!

I just wanted to share you a ollow up on this post I posted yesterday.
I have called MICC and it's not auto renewal for CSQ, I have to reapply as a fresh applicant with financial evaluation details. But I have moved to Ontario so I cannot do that. I have sent S'pore a letter saying that I moved to Ontario and sent a them a copy of my hydro & cell phone bill. I don't know whatelse I should do.

Hope they accept that and understand that my parent do not need CSQ to land as they won't be destined to Quebec. Hope they don't make me go through the financial evaluation process or any other lengthy process.

Does anybody have any idea on how they may handle this situation?

Thanks to Leon & PMM for the PM.

I lost my sleep over it; checking every hour if they have sent any emails!!

I also have the same problem. My family have been waiting for nearly 5 years and they finalized the medical this June but their CSQ expired at the same time. I called immigration Quebec, they asked me to re-apply and they will have to evaluate my financial situation again. What a pain! I wrote to immigration canada and ask if it's necessary for quebec to do that. It's a total waste of time! Why should we pay for their slowness? it's so frustrating! Hopefully I will get a reply. If anybody has the same experience please share.

I know, this is so frustrating. I was this close to get visa for my parents and now who knows what will happen.
Somebody from MICC contacted me and asked me to reapply for CSQ and I told them that I moved. They have informed S'pore office and I also have emailed them the contact name from MICC with whom I talked to. A month later, CIC S'pore asked me to provide Notice of Assessment (Revenue Canada) and T4's from 2009 and 2010, letter of employment from current employer and also any changes in family size. I have provided all those in September. My concern now is I did not meet LICO in 2010 but my past 12 months income is more than LICO. I have sent them the pay slips showing that last week. Now wondering how they will make their decision and how long it will take. When I call CIC here, I get mixed information and I think they really don't know the procedure. I wish somebody knew what is the protocol here.

Did anybody from Quebec immigration contact you or send any letter to renew CSQ? What's you local vis office?
Please let me know if you have any update on your side. I will keep ypu posted as well.

No reply from immigration canada yet. Do they ever reply? As for the new CSQ, I was re-directed many time by phone as well. It's not a common procedure for them because in the past, almost everybody gets their visa before the CSQ expires. I think I will just re-apply and see what happens. As for the salary, I think it's more important for them to check the past 12 months, isn't it?

Good luck and I will have my fingers crossed.

By the way, my local visa office is Beijing. I only received an email from them asking me to pay the fee $490 and contact immigration quebec for an extended CSQ.

Singapore office replied me couple of times. I hope that they only look at past 12 months income instead of past 2.5 years. These are so unusual case that I have no clue what will be the final verdict.

As per renewing CSQ, I was contacted my Mr.Boris at MICC and he was very helpful. His contact number is 1-514-864-9305 ext 20557. You can try to reach him and see if you have any better luck.

I am ordering CAIPS again. It will take about a month and will probably give me a bring forward date. I can't call anybody (CIC here or Singapore) to get an update. I am wondering if my file is back on the long queue or not.

From May to September, Singapore office communicated very well. Like, they have asked for additional documents in May, then medical request in June, new CSQ in July, income documents in August but after that I have not heard back from them. I mailed and emailed them all docs. I don't know what else I can do.

Anyways good luck and great to find somebody who is in a similar situation. Hope your parents get the PPR soon.
