I feel for you guys and know exactly what your going through! The waiting and not knowing is the worst and CIC doesn't help at all, they actually make things worse when you reach out to them. I remember around the 8 month mark for me was the toughest because the end was in site but still so far away and every time I contacted CIC, I got nothing. Don't worry too much about ecas, mine still says In Process and things would disappear and re-appear in mine all the time, and my husbands ecas was totally different from mine, said two completely different things.2worlds1love said:It would be really nice to hear some news seeing that's officially November and all. Also my ECAS use to have a note about them sending me correspondence (AOR2) on September 25. It now has no such note. I really wish I knew what the heck was going on.
really hoping things start moving along soon!! i'm really hoping they will be doing interviews soon, since that's what we are waiting for. I am officially annoyed at this whole process!2worlds1love said:It would be really nice to hear some news seeing that's officially November and all. so sorry to hear about your grandmother the stress of this process doesn't help situations like that.2worlds1love said:yah this stuff is crazy!! Going on our 9th month in waiting. I feel bad being the person who complains when I KNOW others ahead of us are still waiting. I'm just really struggling the last few weeks. My grandmother passed away which means my husband will never officially meet her. Kind of a huge piss off for me. I think its just put me in a sour mood.
Anyways, hope everyone out there is doing better than me.
You are correct, photos, emails, texts etc, should suffice and that part on the sponsorship questionnaire is just that, additional information if you have anything else to provide. And the checklist is just that as well, it's just there to make sure you have everything, to ensure your application is completed. Everything you listed is fine, I only provided photos and boarding passes and I was fine! No interview, nothing, but every case is different, but that's what I handed in and I had no problems!Joakin17 said:Referring to family class spousal sponsorship-
the last page of application IMM 5540 ( sponsor questionnaire) it says, " On a separate piece of paper please provide additional details of your current relationship that would prove your relationship is genuine and continuing"
THEN
item #25 on the sponsor checklist it states proof of relationship to sponsor..
My question is- Isn't this the same question? wouldn't I be repeating most of the information I would have provided through #25 on the checklist? I was under the assumption that photographs, tickets, receipts, info about our relationship from friends etc would all be compiled in #25?
I swear I am so tired re reading and second guessing that I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT EVERYONE ELSE DID SO I CAN MAIL THIS BAD BOY!!
Thanks!
I was approved in 12 months, from App getting to CIC missisauga, but there are people waiting since August 2014, so who knows, Mexico is taking their sweet ass time, give yourself 12 - 17 months. It maybe sooner, but that's what it's looking like with Mexico.Labbadulc said:Hi guys! I just sent out my sponsorship application and Mississauga received it today so Nov 2nd and i know this won't be fast but is there any updates on how long Mexico is taking?
Thanks!
Labbadulc, I welcome you and Joakin17 to join the Mexico forum and include your timeline in our spreadsheet (of course, once you have submitted your application). Thoroughly and accurately fill in this questionnaire and I will happily add you.Labbadulc said:Hi guys!
