I have a question guys

Do my local bank statement is enough as proof of funds for showing to immigration officer after landing in Canada?

Official POF Requirement for CIC:

If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile. This must:
• List of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months,

• List all outstanding debts, such as credit cards and loans,

• Be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution, and include your name and the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address).

You can attach 6 months Bank statement along with the bank letter.

These are the requirements for Getting PR. proof of funds for landing have same requirements are not?I have read on different posts and different people have different opinions. Some say we have to open bank account in Canada, some say we have to carry bank draft etc

EE profile can be created with our reference letters but you would need it for sure after you get ITA. Make sure Info matches if you are creating EE profile and then getting Ref letter...you might not wanna end up in misrepresentation. Good luck and cheers !

Further to MD123's point, ensure you read the description for your NOC code. If you get an ITA, case officers compare the content of your letter to the NOC description. They look for tasks/duties performed by an officer in such a role as well as any qualifications/education normally required by an officer operating in that role.

The slightest deviation from the NOC description could result in misrepresentation. To make it easier for your employer I would draft the letter to ensure it matches your job description and the NOC description.

Thanks for the information, so it is advisable to get reference letter before creating express entry profile.

Will try to get the same asap.

Dear all,
I have started creating express entry profile though GC key. I got stuck at two points
1. I need to provide "Language test form or certificate number" , the hard copy of which i did not receive yet. How to get that number?
2. In field of study - "Engineering(Mechanical)" is not listed in the drop down menu. So, what to chose it?
Any help appreciated..

Thanks in advance,
Shabaz.

I have searched all over the board, but found nothing! Apparently not many people have this question… I hope someone can help me.

Suppose I am allowed to make my landing next year up to November, since I got my medicals done now and they are valid for 12 months. Nevertheless, I cannot move permanently before December-16, since I have to get some things done in my old country first. No problem, since I can get my landing, stay for a week and return to my old country, get things done and move back permanently in December.

Now this is where it gets complicated: a newborn should be expected around august/september 2016.

Options as I see them:
A) Make the landing before the baby is born, in june or july. The problem is the baby would be born outside Canada and when I finally moved in December he would have no document! What to do?
B) Make the landing in November, with the baby. The problem is how will I inform CIC about the newborn, after they already gave me all documents for my wife and I to do the landing? Is it easy to add the newborn to our file after I got the authorization to land but before actual landing?
C) Make the landing pregnant in September, give birth there and come back to home country. And then finally move permanently in December. Crazy timing here! Very risky

Are my interpretations of the options correct? Or is there an easier way? Or another option? Which option is less risky?

Hello all,

I would like to apply for the permanent residency, probably under CEC, and I have everything in order, I just have a question about the work experience:

I have one year of experience as a "technologist in architecture" (skilled job) BUT the problem is that I am not officially "an employee", I work more like a contractor (we did that so my boss doesn't have to pay extra tax on me) SO I don't have any pay stubs (but I send him bills every two weeks)

That being said, my boss gave me a reference letter (with number of hours, pay, what my job is, NOC, etc.), and we signed a contract

Can someone tell me if that's going to be a problem with entry express??

Thank you!

Dude, relax! No Visa office will request your passport just to stamp a "Rejected" stamp and send it back. You will have the visa stamped on your passport and you will receive it soon! So, relax and grab a beer!

Save yourself a whole lot-ta headache and get the delivery done in Canada. Do you really wanna go for TRP/TRV and family class sponsorship thing again?
Also, you may want to read the relevant residency requirements and the provincial health program where you are going.
and if you guys haven't conceived yet then consider delaying that because you need time and resources to get established in Canada.

Thanks for the answer!
But is going for TRP/TRV the only option? How about option B? Make the landing in November, with the baby. Can´t I simply inform CIC about the newborn, after they already gave me all documents for my wife and I to do the landing? Wouldnt it be easy to add the newborn to our file after I got the authorization to land but before actual landing? Could I just add the newborn to my file?
