Hi,

I have done my Bachelors and Masters in Nursing in India. I am working as a RN in a hospital for the past 3 years.

I am applying for Canada Express Entry. Already have Individual 7.5 in IElTS and WES Report also completed.

Now I am planning to apply. I am worried about how I will get job in Canada as a Nurse. Since I am not a registered Nurse in Canada/Province.

With out RN (Canada) how will I get job offer when my application is in the pool. Someone told me that I will get an Initial job offer as Nurse assistant, then once I am in Canada I have to write the registration exam to become RN. Is it true that Nurse assistant job will be offered initially without any registration.

I dont want to come to Canada and sit at home again to write my registration with out a job.

Please clear my doubts. Help needed.

Can someone explain the procedure and requirements and what exam to write to become RN in Canada and the cost as well.

Thank you,
SJ

Hi

This is regarding the foreign work experience. In he profile they ask for Month/Year for work experience. Based on that I have more than 3 years of work experience. However date wise my exact work experience is 2years11months. Please tell me if I can claim 3 years work experience points or should I wait for 1 month and then apply.
Of course you should wait for one more month to claim 3 years. You cannot provide false information on your profile.

Post-ITA: FSWP 2014 application for PR rejected due to cap

Hi all the senior members, including Asivad Anac

Here is the excerpt from the letter I received from CIC.
"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a Federal Skilled Worker. We have now completed the assessment of your application and have determined that you are not eligible for processing in this category for the following reason. ... Your application was received
after the maximum of 25,000 complete FSW applications was reached."

Q1) From the application it is clear that I applied to CIC as well as I applied for PR. In post-ITA form filling I have said YES to "applied to CIC before" which is OK. Now, according to the rejection letter from CIC I must say YES to "applied for PR before" but then the EE system does not let me proceed without providing the file number which I do not have!!! What to do?

Q2) In the background declaration form what should I say to "been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa or application to PNP or visitor or temporary resident visa"? I think I should say YES because I have applied to CIC for PR and my application was rejected due to cap upper bound.

Can anyone help me with these queries quickly? I am sure there are many aspirants who have gone through this confusion.
Thanks

Answer No as your application wasn't processed and no UCI was generated.

I think I should say YES because I have applied to CIC for PR and my application was rejected due to cap upper bound.

Answer No. You weren't refused a visa, your application was returned without even being processed.

Can anyone help me with these queries quickly? I am sure there are many aspirants who have gone through this confusion.

Re: Post-ITA: FSWP 2014 application for PR rejected due to cap

Dear Asivad, I have the UCI number written by pencil on the returned application and it is clearly mentioned on the letter that CIC has done the processing of my application. So my application was processed and UCI number generated. I have said YES to "applied to CIC before" and have filled up the UCI number. What to do for PR file number? The letter clearly mentions that I applied to CIC for PR so doesn't it mean that I applied to both CIC as well as for PR??? Now, if I say YES to "applied for PR before" then I need to fill up the file number which obviously I don't have.

Also, for background declaration, should I mention YES to "been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa or application to PNP or visitor or temporary resident visa"? Please help man.

Hello everyone. Is 406 without any jobs offer a score good enough? Also, received a message that says Ontario province has shown interest in my profile so I'm getting all my documents in line for that. Will need to pay a fees of 1500 Canadian Dollars, does anyone know if this fees is refundable in anyway? And if the highest score one can get without job offer is 600 then how exactly did the pool draw cut off start with 800 above in January 2015? Anyone knows of the number of invites or applicants targeted for 2015?? I read a few posts here that say the CIC have a target of 180000 candidates to put through express entry programs for 2015. According to all the draws so far a total of 23000 plus candidates have been sent an ITA already.. So how many more expected until December and could the score drop to 406??? How can I amend my details to better my score further?? Please help :(

Hello everyone,

Reposting my query.

Hello everyone!

I created by EE profile and got a score of 480. I added my 1 year of work experience in Canada without LMIA and 5 years in India.

I got FSW not met and CEC met.

Any idea under what I may get an invite? Are there still chances they invite me under FSW just because of previous work experience? Because I am worried about the FSW documents especially employment letters from the previous employers.

Any comments, suggestions?

Hello Star Members,
I submitted my profile yesterday and It got accepted. I'm with 433 points, I was hoping that I get PT from Ontario to help me get to next stage. Do you know when PT would arrive ? I heard there is draw and Ontario Immigration has just 2700 invites for the year. is the quota full already ?
Thanks

Hi guys!
I get request about schedule A for my husband. He was denied a work permit as there was no valid approved LMO at that time. Upon receiving the answer from the government we booked the earliest possible flight and left Canada (2,5 weeks after).
Question is : in Schedule A which box in question 6 should I tick? Is work permit temporary resident visa (box D). What about E: „been refused admission to, or ordered to leave, Canada or any other country?” Is the refusal letter an order to leave Canada?
Please help!

If I am not mistaken, you cannot get a job as a nurse right away, you have to take certain courses and stuff

In EE profile if you have FSW - Not Met, and CEC - Met, you will get invite under CEC category. I do not know about CEC in detail so cannot tell you if you still need to get previous employer's reference letters or not. Any other qualified member of this forum can comment on this aspect.

hello my total points under express entry are 346 how can i improve points
1) Improve your IELTS score. Getting a CLB-9 will help.
2) Try to secure a Provincial Nomination.
3) Gain more work experience.
4) Upgrade your education.

If the above doesn't work, try for a job offer with a extremely hard to get LMIA.

Have you assessed yourself against the FSWP criteria? Did you check if you are getting 67/100 under the FSWP points grid?
Yes, I have assessed and have 67/100.

CAD 1500 is non refundable irrespective of whether they nominate you or not. Please go through the Express Entry section of the CIC website to get a thorough understanding of how EE works and draws happen. It would also be worthwhile to look at the EE Mid-year report 2015 (google it if you cannot find it on CIC) for some real statistics which should give you an idea of where your score stands. Personally, 406 will take quite some time to get picked looking at the current trends.
