No I haven't done that. I was also curious when people before said this but nobody has explained that, but I am doing it now so you and eveyone else will be clear.

When everything will be decided for your case after you send the passports they change your home adres and they put the Name of the City, Province, Canada- meaning that now you are considered a PR of Canada.

I have only two lines in my e-cas:

We received your application for permanent residence on April 1, 2011.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on May 3, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. that's not true , I've received my PER on July 5th and never received any letter ...
you know how many times I read these two lines hoping to find somthing new, that's crazy I know :

That 'letter' is actually the e-mail (PER) that was sent by CIO, it is not a physical letter.

You both are lucky at least have two lines in your case. I have only one line
"We received your application for PR on May 2nd 2011"

and thats it...after 8 month of that when I contacted them then they sent me the file number. and till now no news....
