Medical is normally requested later in the process of the application so if you do upfront medical, the VO may either update it immediately on ur profile or not update it at all until it actually gets to the time when it is required to be updated. So doing ur medical upfront isn't an advantage per se, however, it's good to do it if you are a busy person or travel out of town most of the time. This would prevent delay in case it's asked for and you are not in town. Just keep cool, all shall be well!!!I am still lost. so it means cic hasn't even looked at my profile yet? to see what and what i need to submit?

hrNessacanada,
Ok... I hope ours visas are granted before the commencement of our respective programs. When you submitted your application, did the VFS collect your passport as well? Or it will be requested when the IRCC needs it?
In actuality the 21weeks processing time is an estimate base on 80% of study permits approved or refused in the past and it changes every week. Personally, I checked in March and it was 13 weeks for Ghana and in the first week or two of May, it was 20 weeks and starting from 15th May it went up to 21 weeks. Currently Nigeria is 14 weeks a week shorter from last week. Hope Ghana's reduces in subsequent weeks cuz the anxiety of not knowing the outcome of my application is killing me... Lolhr
I think the longer it waits the better. If you follow those who got theirs approved from the africa office , most of them exceeded their school starting dates. Normally when you get a response within two months or 3 when the timeline is 21 weeks , its definitely not good but there could be exceptional cases though but thats been my observation
