Guys is there a way where lawyer can put across delay in processing application to program managers and case management. I am completing 7 months but still newdelhi visa office says my file is awaiting visa officer review.

No - there's no legal remedy. CIC has made no commitments to process all files within six months. So there's no basis for a complaint if processing takes more than six months.

I think approaching program manager cud be helpful..any idea ?

Mate.. some are waiting for 9 months... :(

Many here have been waiting far longer than you have. There are no grounds for speeding up your application processing and giving you preference over others who are still waiting.

What's going on is your application.

EE aim to have 80% of applications done in 6 months. There is no guarantee and nothing you can do but wait.

Come back to it if it takes 18months or more. Until then just be patient.

Thats insane...18months...freak...i guess u have got ur ppr isnt it ?

I don't even have an ITA yet but having been in the pool since Jan 2015, I'd wait for 2 years as long as my application was being looked at.

There's no obligation for CIC to process your application. You could apply for GCSM notes if you were desperate to see what they have done with your application, otherwise, have patience. Patience is a huge part of Canadian culture, start practising it.

Accountability for what? They haven't promised any time frame so they have nothing to account for. This isn't like returning a shirt to a store that won't honour its return policy.

They do have accountability - they've very significantly increased processing times over the last couple of years. Just a few years back, it wasn't at all unusual to wait 2 years plus for a FSW application to be processed. Processing times have improved dramatically in just a few years.

Understand that each application is individual and depending on your country of origin and/or where you've lived, security and background checks may take longer to complete. These steps can't be skipped.

I think the overall issues is that you seem to believe CIC is obligated to process your application in six months. They have no such obligation.
