NOC = 3111

Let's connect as we would have many unique aspects to our applications..

For instance, the MD/MBBS conundrum,
The residency/fellowship years and wether they count towards "study" or "work experience"

Personally waiting for my ECA and CELPIP results to submit my EOI. LMIA for a job offer is in the process.
Residency and fellowship completed in Canada..

Anyone else here going down the same route?

Did you do your residency in canada? I'm wondering why CEC and not FSW?

Canada desperately needs healthcare professionals, especially doctors.
In my opinion, CIC should create program just for doctors. You clear your medical exam in Canada, get PR. No pof, no ee crap. That's how they can fill this vaccum in healthcare.

In June I'll finish 6 years working in canada (ON).

I have a permanent job offer (AB) but no LMIA.

It sucks.

I too have a permanent job offer but no LMIA. The employer is not keen on applying for one because the chances of getting a positive LMIA is nil. There's a lot of doctors who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents who can fill this jobs. I am waiting for my spouse's CELPIP result and ECA. I am just hoping that the score will go down. Good luck to all of us.

So, doctors, where do you stand in the application process?

Post your timelines please!

As for myself, I received my ECA report on Friday, equivalency to an MD, which is an entry level diploma.
I sat the CELPIP yesterday, and paid for the express scoring, so should have the results by Wednesday. I will submit my EE profile then.

I have a permanent job offer and the documents for the LMIA are being gathered, I'm hoping I get an ITA without having to deal with an LMIA but seeing the last draw stats I'm not very optimistic!

Hi
I did my residency in India and doing my fellowship in Canada. I got CEC because my ECA was not complete at time of application from MCC .So i had the points but the system invited me under CEC . I subsequently did my ECA and submitted it,but it still went under CEC .I know of one more guy who got his PR under CEC after 17mths of residency .He is a resident in Internal Medicine in Ontario . I have a job offer LMIA backed after my fellowship completes in next 3 months .
Fellowship is considered as working experience since I am on a work permit and you work as a specialist physician.
So best of luck ..Guyz.
I got ITA in March
Submitted Application --15 MAy
Meds passed 20 may.
Happy to help if any further questions
Thanks

I am Specialist Family Physician from Pakistan, with more than 11 years of post graduate experience, my ECA is M.D., IELTS score 7 or more in all categories, I filed my EE profile in January, but due to age I only have 304 points. I already appeared in MCCEE and waiting for results. yes I also have a job offer from Alberta once I get registered to regulatory authorities of Alberta.

Since you people are already in Canada, can any one help me to know that if it is mandatory to have IELTS in academic for registration with college of Physicians and Surgeons , any where in Canada. B/C I already done IELTS for EE in General category?
Thanks in advance
regards

Had a quick question. I am a diplomate of ABIM (completed ny residency in USA and currently practicing) and want to pursue cardiology fellowship in Canada. Is that something that can be done and if yes how difficult is it to get into cardiology there? Any replies would be appreciated.
