Hi, My wife has also applied for study permit through vfs global jeddah few days back. Just yesterday she has received email from vfs that the application has been received by the CIC office in Riyadh. I have read your timelines and am wondering why they are taking so long to decide. Ideally it should be 4 weeks and if not then maximum 6 weeks. Few of you have around 6 weeks and no response,

UOIT, though the funding is not too great. I had to add a bank statement to the funding package by UOIT to convince the visa officer of my financial level.

Yes, I assume its roughly equivalent to international tuition fees. My wife also get admission in UOIT. Her funding is also little more than tuition so I had to show for her living.

I searched ur profile. You have a different case, I believe. You applied for TRV initially and then your study permit expires, so I think it complicates plus other issues. But, inshAllah you will get soon. It is always adviceable to renew your visa from within Canada. I have seen people sacrificing events in their home country just for staying and renewing their visas in Canada.

yes you are right that is way I said I am in much different case and hope all of you guys get your visas within reasonable time

No update on my application, I did not submit exit reentry as part of my application. What about you? Is it required for study permit? I applied online, and there was nothing of such among the documents. And Is Iqama sufficient as means of showing ones immigration status?
