I worked as an Assistant Manager in retail industry. And so there are 2 things that they are questioning: salary and previous experience.
“No evidence of previous experience with business or in industry is provided. It is unclear why PA would be given a supervisory position without any apparent qualifying experience. Salary seems extremely low for such s position. Review recommended.”
However in my application I mentioned that while I was a student in Canada I already started to work part time as a sales person(different store) , so I do have experience in the retail industry (part time for 3 years). And regarding salary, if they think it’s suspicious I think 18 months - is long enough to give a call to the company I worked for ( it’s a big company with stores all over Canada), they could have called my District Manager, Regional Manager or HR department and ask them why salary was low. I also already sent them an additional letter in December 2014 explaining that is was low because of commissions and seasonality (busy for Christmas but slow for summer).
And as for timeline: My application was received in Nov 2013, in Dec 2013 I got AOR, in May 2014 they requested Police Criminal Check and they received in in June 2014. And I haven’t heard anything after that, So it’s been way too long.
