I am Jan 2018 applicant. Waiting for test invitation. Same story....when ever I call them or MP..... saying everything is fine just wait.....
I don’t understand why they transfer file from Mississauga to Scarborough, both offices has backlog
do you know when your file was transferred?

Tbh it doesn't really make sense to me some people on this forum had file transferred after me from Mississauga to Scarborough already had test... I also see they are giving oath letters for next day to clear backlog hopefully we get the same treatment but if someone applied earlier should get test invite before not sure how they are prioritizing cases..

Not only that. People from GTA who applied in July & Aug 2018 are getting test invites. How can they forget us!!!

Hi All,

I am not sure if this will help you in your struggle or not. I hope it does. I have been in this struggle for about 21 months now and it looks like the end of the road is up there

2017
Applied: Oct 11th 2017
AOR: Oct 31st 2017
Started Processing: Nov 22nd 2017

2018
File transfered to Scarborough Office: Nov 2018

2019
Test Invite: April 26th 2019
Test: May 14th 2019
Fingerprints request: May 15th 2019
Decision Made: July 24th 2019
Oath Invite: July 26th 2019
Oath: August 16th 2019

So in total thats a 22 month long journey for thats about to come to an end. It was very frustrating and I can't tell you how I feel for you who are still struggling with the wait. All I can say, the moment you will start forgetting about this you will see some movements and hopefully the end of it.

wow congratulations! finally hopefully now i can get mine soon too!
I would suggest, contact your MP office in case you have not already done so. For me calling IRCC or web form was of no help as the message was not being conveyed to the processing office. When I took the MP route the processing office was contacted and things moved. Basically someone at the processing office has to notice that your file is just sitting there collecting dust. Good luck and hope everyone hears back soon.

I have been in contact with the MP first was right after my application crossed 12 months in April they got back stating IRCC it will take 8-10 weeks then that was also completed did another follow up but since no reply from IRCC as they told MP they will need to contact processing center with status of application.. at this point waiting for the reply.... and i agree calling IRCC is useless and also web form, they repeat the same thing like a robot...

I think your MP office has to be pro active. Only when the processing office is contacted, things will move. This is my opinion.

was your application non-routine?

Got a response from IRCC via contacting the MP ""The office is still booking files from April/May 2018".. they been saying this for past 3 months to me though... idk how big this backlog is
