Yes You can bring the money back, Though I would advise you to open the bank Account.

Only the main applicant need to show the required funds.

I think it requires only at first time. When u have entered Canada get required documents i.e PR card. Then u are free from any tension about re-entering except required period-if there is.

As suggested by CAPR -- Have abank account with some money deposit there that would help you to make a credit history when you return with permenant mode.
