i have a question.... on the check list number 19 it states if you MUST meet the minimum income requirement and you and your co signer you must provide proof like pay stubs? now who does that apply for? does that apply for me who is just sponsoring my wife as a spouse? please help thank you

1 more question number 17 it says an original option c printout of your and your co signer last notice of assesment.... i dont need a co signer because im just sponsoring my spouse... does this still apply to me?

There is no minimum income requirement if you are just sponsoring your spouse. However, you still must include the Option C printout. If you do not have one, you can request a copy from Revenue Canada. If you do not have one for other reasons (worked outside of Canada in the previous year, didn't work or didn't file tax return) you should write a letter explaining why you couldn't include one and submit it with your application. Including copies of your T4 or pay stubs would be helpful too.

well 2009 i only worked for 6 months and made 17,890 on my t4 so i will just keep a copy of my t4 and i still have to call to get my option c?

u dont have to proof any income to sponsor a sposue , so what u have to do now is just call the CRA and request your option C, mine took a week to get to me..

good luck

If you can get an Option C then you only need to send that.
