Hello. My file was transferred to Ankara in early March and I haven’t heard from them in 3 months. Have you done your Biometrics?
There is no any specific order for file transfer, medical and Biometrics. They can be requested/done in any order. Personally my medical request was just before file transfer. However I haven’t received the Biometrics request letter yet.
My husband's application was also transferred to Ankara end of March but we haven't heard anything yet. He's done both his medical and biometrics. Hope we hear something soon from them

Congrats! that's great news! hope we get our PPR soon too. I was under the impression that the background/security check takes longer for guys but hopefully that's not the case.

File transfert 17 april and biometric 16 may. My husband did not do medical exam. He call VFS Global Istanbul (because Ankara never answer) to know the reason and the person told me that in some cases the exams were not mandatory. It depends on the judgment of the agent. I thought it was an obligation. It is normal? have you heard about this??
Medical examination is for Canada government to find out about the medical history of new comers and it doesn’t affect the outcome of the application assessment. Both the Biometrics and Medical examination are mandatory. Soon your husband will receive the medical letter.

We got our Pre arrival letter today and the status online shows as decision made.

Met the requirement for eligibility as a sponsor: February 15, 2019
Biometric request: February 21, 2019
Application Forwarded to Ankara: February 22, 2019
Background check started: February 28, 2019
May 01, 2019 they sent us a correspondence asking for a criminal record check again. We manage to obtain it last week, and as soon we emailed it the second day we got the pre arrival letter (June 27, 2019). Do you guys think it would be a hasty decision to buy the tickets for July 26th? Or should I wait for PPR , before buying any tikets
