Thanks pmc92. Is it ok to have consent form signed by my wife and upload a photo of the completed and signed form while requesting GCMS notes? (It is me who will be requesting the notes) I might be asking for the Sponsorship file as well just out of curiosity ;D

Also, what is the cut-off date of the notes? The date requested or the day it is retrieved? (approx. a month from now). Because it might be a bit early to have meaningful information on the PA file (ECAS indicates Ankara started working on the file November 9). Thanks.

Cheers ;D

Yes, the consent form is uploaded with the request for GCMS notes. The notes take 30 days (or sometimes more) to arrive from the date of your request. They are usually captured the day after they are requested, so they are old news by the time you get them. Details about the sponsor are included in what they send you.

Ankara started processing my wife's file on September 8 and she was approved (passed eligibility) on Sept. 23.

Does anyone has good news before holidays ? Update on my application, since my husband had interview on Dec.8/2016.
When i was applying to sponsor i asked immigration to consider my husbands 2 sons. But their age is 20 and 21. So all the news i got since interview that my step-sons are not consider dependent children anymore, so they removed them from application. Then they ask to give instruction if i want to continue with my application. What question is this?. I originally applied to sponsor my husband, and immigration asking to include all your children in the application. That's what we did.
To get to the point and tell us whether decision is made after interview, they are still keeping quite. I tried several times to link my application to mycic. I can't. Call the immigration agent, he advised to send a web form and communicate directly with Ankara by email. Definetly it's not a user friendly link application site mycic. So the only thing i have right now it's to order notes. And this is what I am waiting for.
Siting here in Canada and listening to automated system when calling immigration, that Canada is making sure you will reunite with your family. Really Canada?

My Background Check is changed to "In Progress" this morning. Review of Eligibility is still "Review in Progress".
Encouraging to see some progress during holiday season.

Wishing everyone a speedy process and season's greetings.

Cheers :D

Hi there

There are really good notes in separate threads regarding linking application to myCIC account. Based on what you have mentioned you may be having difficulty in the number of applicants field. (the very last field if I remember correctly) Try inputting 1,2,3,4 or even 5. Otherwise, if you can share with us what you have tried for other fields maybe someone might pinpoint the problem. Hope you have access to ECAS at least.

Cheers :D

Hi Fellow Ankara VO Applicants

I am wondering whether anyone had any experience with sending requested documents by mail. (rather than uploading) I have received document request December 9 for updated police report and supplementary travel form. The forms are received December 16 based on postal service tracking information. This request is not reflected anywhere in ECAS or myCIC. Review of Requested Documents field is also showing blank.

Also, being asked for updated police report means we are passed eligibility? I am planning to unite with my wife soon and I am trying to figure out how long it may take from this stage. I believe being recommended for an interview adds couple of weeks to the processing. Any insight is appreciated.

Is there a way to confirm the receipt of documents with Ankara? Is it a good idea to send webform for this type of inquiry?

Wishing everyone a speedy process and season's greetings.

Cheers :D

Just a question. You had your interview on November 13,2016 and no answers yet? If you pass interview, how long you waited for answer from them?In the letter for interview it's says to submit travel form, but same was not requested after my husbands interview. What does it mean? I am still not able to link my application to my cic.

after the interview like a month later I was asked to send travel history record.(You are told in the interview if it is positive or not beside you can see it on your cic account) I sent it and nothing heard from them even though I sent an email. my background check is still in progress. since I had my interview.

keep trying linking it. enter less data. applicant # is 2 if it is only sponsor and applicant . I typed in 1 couldn't link, change it to 2 linked.

I am still waiting! ???

You should get the passport request soon. Ours only took a few hours from background change to receiving the PPR. It shouldn't take that long..You're almost done!
wow aylar your processing time is super fast less than 2 months you got PPR. lucky you!
congratulations !

If you are sure all data you type in is correct and still not link I would call CIC to ensure the dates names etc are correct on the file. IF the agent who entered those data did a mistake you woul not able to link your application so make sure data is correct on the CIC side.

I am still waiting! ???

I would pay the fees first, then see if they will request for passport. I guess you just have to wait for request.

so for the applicants who are in background check do we see the PPR in the mail before cic account goes to final decision or after ?

According to the forum, many people get PPR first via email and then Ecas changes to Decision Made.

It's been 2 months since my interview and background check is in progress..and a month since I sent the requested documents. Why the heck Ankara all the sudden slowed down!!???

Did you pay RFPR? And did they take your passport photos at the end of the interview?
Ankara is not too slow comparing to some other visa offices. I think it's because of the holidays and of course depends who's working on your file, be patient, I'm sure we will all get DM very soon :)
