1- As an average, how long does it take to be approved after interview?
2- Is it normal to be asked to provide passport-sized photos?
3- Have you seen someone to apply for workpermit in Ankara?
{I had plan to email them to request to change the date of interview, as I am in Canada and the time is hard for me, but notice that it is risky and I changed my mind }

Update from my husband's interview

In short, the interview was good! Although he was asked a lot of questions about our relationship, his personal history and of course many questions about me. Some questions were straight forward and some were very tricky.
They checked all the required documents: new communication, photos, travel form and original documents.
At the end, they took my husband's updated police certificate and passport photos
They told him to wait for the passport request! Alhamdulillah!!!

Our advice is to be very honest about everything and keep on praying!!!

Interview is required to see how genuine your relationship is, basically checking your eligibility.
If they requested you to bring updated police certificate then the background check is not started yet and usually background check starts after you pass your eligibility.

I received the GCMS notes this morning, and my wife passed her eligibility way back on Sept. 23 (June 29 applicant.) They cite: Excessive chat history (of which they kept samples and shredded the rest), our photos, my pastor's letter and my uncle/best man's 5-page letter (which, the visa officer says held the most weight in his/her decision, along with the photos and communication).

The GCMS notes also mention the form that we submitted by case-specific enquiry as well as by mail, which shows that she has not travelled. My wife's background check is still In Progress (since Dec. 12). Hoping for PPR next week.

I just have a question. For Supplementary Travels form, do you have to list all your travels since the age of 18 or in the past 10 years which is from 2006-2016. Please reply. Thank you

You should get the passport request soon. Ours only took a few hours from background change to receiving the PPR. It shouldn't take that long..You're almost done!

(rather than uploading) I have received document request December 9 for updated police report and supplementary travel form. The forms are received December 16 based on postal service tracking information. This request is not reflected anywhere in ECAS or myCIC. Review of Requested Documents field is also showing blank.

Also, being asked for updated police report means we are passed eligibility? I am planning to unite with my wife soon and I am trying to figure out how long it may take from this stage. I believe being recommended for an interview adds couple of weeks to the processing. Any insight is appreciated.

Is there a way to confirm the receipt of documents with Ankara? Is it a good idea to send webform for this type of inquiry?

Ankara does not acknowledge receipt of documents. The best way to check on an application is to order the GCMS notes. We received our notes last week and found out that my wife had been approved on Sept. 23. Her background check has been in progress since Dec. 12.

Thanks pmc92. Is it ok to have consent form signed by my wife and upload a photo of the completed and signed form while requesting GCMS notes? (It is me who will be requesting the notes) I might be asking for the Sponsorship file as well just out of curiosity ;D

Also, what is the cut-off date of the notes? The date requested or the day it is retrieved? (approx. a month from now). Because it might be a bit early to have meaningful information on the PA file (ECAS indicates Ankara started working on the file November 9). Thanks.
