Hi bahareh_h2013. Did your husband write an email address on his part of the immigration forms? This is the fastest way for CPC to get in contact with him (otherwise it is by regular post mail). Has he not heard anything at all? Did they send him an "acknowledgement of receipt" (a letter/email that says CPC has received and started to work on the application)?

Every case is different so it is difficult to say what is normal and not normal with the immigration process some times. If you are both really concerned maybe you can try to speak with someone at the CPC call centre - 1-888-242‑2100

We both wrote our email addresses on the forms, but it's very surprising that we haven't heard anything at all and he hasn't receive AOR yet.
Also my husband called CPC call center last week but the officer didn't gave any information at all and just took his contact info and told to check again after 2 weeks! That's why we're going to get nervous.

Decision Made does not mean that Visa is issued.

You could only understand that your visa is granted when they make a Passport Request.

Ankara is usually making PPR by e-mail, or if the applicant is in Turkey they do it by phone too.

They may not issue visas in the second half of December because of the worldwide quota and X-Mas break.

I wish everyone Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year and of course Good Luck on your application process.

Hi Galip!

Just wanted to thank you again for the advice you gave me before the interview! And I have read your earlier threads about Ankara, you were right!!

Wishing you Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you and your family!

Bahareh,

What address did you send it to and did you track the courrier, already asked by Mrs Asag?? Usually it is with Canada post and you can easily track it...check also the timeline from the spreadsheet...

Mrs Asag, you said 27 days approx. were you checking the spreadsheet also when you said that??

I just checked it real real fast, and I see that deme took 60 days before approval of sponsorship, I know he/she is active on the site, so he/she will probably tell us why it took so long or just maybe it took the time that it took, with CIC who knows....

There could be something missing as well... so they won't process that fast if something is missing and they would have to contact you. Also, if it is unorganized it could take a while to... the VO's are really into organization of files.

hi bahareh

don't worry. some time delayed happening. its normal. don't worry at all.
most application get approval after 30 day but in some cases it increase to 90 day.
;)

you can see other application time line in Ankara spreadsheet. some application timeline like your application.

Hi everyone.
My husband sent all of our documents for a sponsorship case to CPC in Mississauga on Oct, 30th. It's 41 days and yet there's no news. I wanna know is it ok to take so long? Is it normal?
I would appreciate if you guys share your experience cause I'm a little bit worried. Tnx.

Hi everyone.

Do not worry, It is ok, I got sponsorship approval letter 26/06/2013 (after 48 days) from Mississauga. But my application was received 8/07/2013 (after 12 days) in Ankara... I called several times in CIC call center and agent told me that sometimes it takes more then 28 days.

We sent it to CPC in Mississauga and it was sent via Canada Post and I tracked it, it was delivered on Nov. 4th.
Mrs Asag is right, according to Processing Times Table on CIC website it takes 28 days and since we're sure that we haven't missed anything and sent our forms and documents fully organized, it's getting a little weird that we haven't heard anything yet.

That spreadsheet is been really helpful, thanks.
But you know, most of them have got their approval within almost 30 days, and it's getting me a little concerned that what took them so long? Seems like we have no choice but being patient. :|

Don't worry really, if you look sometimes when they take a long time to process sponsorship (first step) it then takes them less time to have an answer for PR. The spreadsheet is a good indicator!!

;D ;) :D

The government mentions "targets" but not "quotas". Meaning it's a number they are striving to get (at/around).

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/ips/non-economic.asp

However, what's interesting here is the "target" they give for Ankara (1,100) is lower than what was actually processed based on data here: http://data.gc.ca/data/en/dataset/427337d0-7c36-4fed-8428-c6a63f8c19b3
(which said +1,400 spousal applications were processed July 2012-June 2013).

I recommend you to read this article.

pacificimmigration.ca/en/news/immigration-quota-for-2013

For spouses, partners and children the upper limit is 48.500 visas worldwide in 2013. If they already hit this number Visa Offices can't issue a visa in this category during December 2013. Applicants have to wait for January 2014.

yes, you're right. Hope it works that way for me too. ;) :D

I've just recieved GCMC information.
It shows everythings have been passed (on Dec06,12 which is the date that my application status has changed to IN PROCESS) and the onlything which is not started is SECURITY SCREENING.
but criminality has been passed.

Does anybody knows how long this item will take to proceed? Is it really depends on how many countries that my hubby visitted before (travelling) :'(

in normal 2 or 3 month after in-process you get PPR email.

but some application like me have longer process time. I waiting for security pass from April

I hope 2014 is our year
