I dont know, our lawyer wouldn't submit our application in until i got federal clearance from RCMP. That involved going to a special office to give away my fingerprints, height, weight, picture and etc. Two weeks later they sent me the clearance that we attached to the file.
I appreciate you for letting me know about your experience. Since we have applied four months ago, I guess we have enough time for getting a clearance for my wife in Canada, in fact so far we have not lost anything because I am sure our application is still not opened in Aankara.

Does your wife live with you in Canada?

My husband lives here in Canada... if you live anywhere for more than 6 months (in the past 10 years I believe), you require a clearance from that country was what I was told.
My wife lives in Canada, and I live in Iran. I certainly am going to check the issue with immigration service. As long as in nowhere i.e. document checklists, forms, guides, web pages was it mentioned that we have to submit RCMP Clearance for the sponsor who is living in Canada, we did not submit it. I think I have to directly contact immigration service for precise info and see what I have to do.
Thank you for informing me Mrs.Asag.

Mehrdad. The RCMP clearance is not for sponsor. It was requested for sponsored spouse who lives in Canada.

Sorry if I confused you!

I am sponsoring my hubby and he lives in Canada... that's why he needed a clearance :D

Dear Mrs.Asag,

Thank you very much for your reply and providing the links to those timeline spreadsheets. Would you please let me know what is the best way to follow up with Canadian embassy in Ankara about the progress and status of my application?

Thanks again

Shahram

Has anyone around May/June got any news from Ankara? I've been "Application Received" ever since... anyone "In Process" yet?

That's OK, but I think I am retarded :))
Thank you Mrs.Asag.

I am assuming they will start processing May/June in December, June/July in January, July/August in February and etc. My math may be off but thats what it seems like and I am thinking conservatively.

Which means they are not going to even open my application till March :'( :o

Does it show also "Medical Received" when you click on the "Application Received"?

Hi lboxixodl,
Can I suggest you to freeze the Header on the spreadsheet, if possible. This way we don't have to scroll all the way up and down to see what the dates are for. Sorry in advance if this is too much to ask and thank you

This is so cool, we have exact timeline. I think it's great that you got a letter, it's really rare. I have never heard of anyone receiving such letter. So I guess they might start reviewing my application sometime soon... Let's keep in touch.
