Hi, I am new to this forum. I am sponsoring my husband from Georgia.We applied in July,2016. He will be going for interview in Ankara on December 8,2016.Just a question re: IM5562 travel supplementary form, he never lived in another country than Georgia for more than six months. Is it going to delay his application? And I also indicated my travels from the age of 18. Would that be enough? We got the standard letter like everyone received. I would like to know how long is the interview? What are they asking? Do I have to fly from Canada to be with him?

I have sponsored my wife who is Georgian and who has never travelled outside of Georgia. We applied on June 29 and she got the request for IMM 5562 on September 27. She checked off "I have not travelled" and included my travels since the age of 18 (only 2 trips outside of Canada, one of which was to Tbilisi in June for our wedding.) The form was received in Ankara on October 10, but we have not heard anything since. We are hoping she does not get asked to an interview.

When did your husband receive the request for IMM 5562 and the invitation to the interview? Do you know why Ankara wants to interview him?

My husband got an invitation to the interview in December ))
I was always scared about it but to my surprise I'm very excited!

The interview is on December 15th.
It's actually great that they asked him to bring everything that was missing Police certificate, IMM5562 form, RPRF payment, and more proof of relationship including some original and updated documents and forms.

Based on my friend's recent interview in Ankara, it was very short, they just asked her a few very straightforward questions like when did they meet, who's on the photos with you(relatives), wedding date and they just took all the documents she brought and that's all)
I spoke to my lawyer today, she said not to worry much, the most important thing is to be confident

I do travel to Georgia every 3-4 months, more photos, and communication prove. Also original documents, with translation and 4 photos. We have everything, but not many photos. I hate taking pictures. May be in total I have provided them with 20 photos, and I have send to my husband some photos from my September trip. How many photos is enough? I had a very small wedding in Georgia, my relatives from Canada couldn't attend, it's just too expensive. for both of us it's a second marriage, and we also have children from previous marriage. I really don't know why they are interviewing him, I order notes but I am afraid we don't have much time. Hopefully we will received them before he travels.

The CIC website says 27 days. The sponsor gets either an email or a letter to confirm SA. I received a letter, instead of an email, about 2 weeks after I was approved as sponsor.

It is interesting that they wanted more proof of your travels. When we were filling IMM5562 I thought it is ridiculous they asked for my trip histories as I am already a citizen. I thought this form is not the right form for spouse sponsorship. Anyways good luck with the interview.

Actually, the part of the form that asks for spouse's travel history is not meant for the sponsoring spouse who is already either a citizen or a Canadian PR. It is meant for the accompanying spouse of a PR applicant who is applying under a different class, not spousal sponsorship class. We included my information on the form, not because it was required, but because we wanted to show CIC that my wife and I had similar travel histories, i.e., the only time I spent outside of Canada since I was 18 years old was for a 4-day road trip in Maine in 2015 and my week in Georgia to marry my wife in June 2016. My wife had applied for a TRV in April, one month after our engagement via Skype, and she was refused the TRV in part because of lack of travel history.

We received invitation letter for interview on November 2,2016 for December 8,2016 interview.My husband proposal was over the phone, after my first visit to Georgia.
I just want to know about pictures, does anybody knows how many do i need? And yes we got married in the House of Justice in Georgia and that was it. Went to local restaurant with friends to celebrate.

For the IMM5562 form, you should list your mutual trips and just his trips.
As for the photos, provide them with more photos, if you submitted 20-30, give them another 20-30 photos and make sure you have photos with relatives, his and your relatives with you from the wedding, engagement and meetings. They might show him one of the photos you submitted and ask him to name relatives on the photo. If you have a wedding album, then make sure your husband gives it to them as well. I had time to create our wedding album and my husband will take it along with other requested documents.

There is no required amount of photos. You should be fine with 20. We sent our photos of my week spent with my wife in Georgia back in June because that's all we had together. We also married at the House of Justice because my wife's orthodox priest would not marry us as I am Lutheran. My uncle accompanied me on the trip as I had never even set foot on a plane and he had recently travelled to Poland and is a Master in Linguistics. He was our best man and was in many of our photos. My wife's entire family and many of her friends were in the photos as well. My uncle wrote a 5-page letter to CIC attesting to the legitimacy of our relationship and my Lutheran pastor wrote a letter confirming that my wife and I had participated in a 5-week marriage prep course and Bible study with him via Skype. My uncle stayed at my in-laws' while my wife and I stayed at a hotel. He fell in love with the people and the place and says he would love to retire there.

Thanks and I hope so too. If/when my wife is approved, she will be moving into my parents' home in Dorchester, NB, on the Bay of Fundy. My dad has been finishing the basement to make room for us. If - God forbid - her application is not approved, then I will be moving into her parents' home in Mtatsminda, Tbilisi.

I forgot to mention earlier that, with my app, I also included 700+ double-sided pages of FB chat history between myself and my wife, and between my wife and my mom and my sister. The box that I sent by Fed Ex to CPC-M weighed 10.6 lbs!

We are all excited to live with our spouse. I hope all the best for all. We had lots of chats too but they were not in English we just printed 30 pages of them and translated those pages but I have the complete electronic file in case they ask in a case of interview. Lol! lots of documentations.
