And it is still nothing from Turkey. Any idea how long they are going to be on strike?

I check the newspapers and CIC website every day , but seem to me that the government does not really care about the strike... It's a summer and many employees are on vacation, so I think they will start looking for solution in September...

I am just wonder if anyone has applied for visitor visa or student visa via VACS center in Ankara or Istanbul.
Is there any forum regarding VAC center. How can she follow-up her application?

Seem to me that I read on a website of Canadian embassy in Turkey, that you can follow up your application by tracking number of UPS, Fedex or etc.

When they received my sister’s application they sent her the tracking number but it did not show anything just below note
‘Visa application, tracking ID No.xxx is being processed at the Canada Visa Office, ANKARA. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website.’
I tried to call them but they keep saying that you should wait we cannot do anything
I am really wonder when they cannot do anything what is the point to send the application and pay more money to VACS.
They hold her application for awhile because the receivers’ name on money order was written by hand. Just stupid.

Hello everyone,

I submitted my parents sponsorship application on March, 2010.
and I got the mail today from CIC (Aug 6,2013) that they are going to start the process and ask for more documents.

I have a question. my sister is in the application as a dependent child, now she is almost 30 but she is still student.

Do I need to prove that she has been student from 2010 till now or is that fine if she has some gaps in her study?
and which document I should submit for her.

You have to show that she has been student since 22 years old and it should be continuously.

I submitted the GCMS last month but still did not received any respond. :-[
