Yes, it is very depressing. You are at least one step ahead. My file has been transferred to Ankara in May of 2012 and it does not even show in process... Just shows application received in 2008. You may want to order GCMS notes if it shows in process and you have not heard anything.

Applied in September 2009. The file was transferred to Ankara and "In Process" since December 2012.
I am on the other "russian" forum and it seems that parents which file in Ottawa or Moscow normally receive medical in a 2/3 max. period after approval sponsorship. It is SO upsetting ...

You should see the expiration date on TRV visa. This will be the last day when your parents can land in Canada.

I ordered GCMS notes back in April, med showed as not started yet. I am going to order it again, just to see if there any changes

I would wait until they finish the strike. I do not think they process our files now... I will order the GCMS after they finish the strike in embassy.

I have a same feeling too it is not fair at all lots of my friends who applied after me from other country they already got their visa. It is a really bad situation for dependent child as well they cannot make a decision for continuing their education and their future. I am really frustrated

It's very frustrating that Ankara gives only visas for 300 people per year (even not 300 families !!!). For example in New Deli, they issue visas for 5230 and in China for 3000 peoples per year !!! This is not fair !!

And it is still nothing from Turkey. Any idea how long they are going to be on strike?
