Hi.

We have recieved an email asking for some documents for my husband. One of the documents included is a military service booklet. My husband is in the Iraqi military. Does anyone know where he can get this booklet from?

Thank you.

Yes it is daftar khedma but everyone is telling my husband that it doesn't exist anymore, it was apparently only during Saddam's time that they had daftar khedma. I don't know what to do now.

Does anyone have experience with mailing vs. pick-up? We just got our PPR, and I'm wondering which way is faster..

mailing took us almost 2 month, i think pickup is faster cause they give you a pickup day when you dropoff your passport!

Thanks! We decided to pick up the visa in Beirut (it was mentioned as an option in the PPR email). I emailed them this morning to request that we pick up the visa there. I haven't heard back yet. I know it's early, but I'm a bit worried since I've seen a lot of posts in this thread about the Amman VO being pretty unresponsive. Hopefully I hear some confirmation from them soon!

Mashallah your timeline is very short. It hasn't even been a year and they have requested your passport. Congratulations

Thank you! We were VERY surprised when we got the email! However I have been working very hard to get quick processing on my husband's application.. we are living in Syria, and as you know the situation is terrible here. I spent a lot of time writing my MP, the Minister of Immigration, and getting the media involved.

Insha'allah the embassy will start working on all the applications more quickly, and everyone else who is waiting will get their PR soon :)
