Hun, how long did it take to get your police certificate? Because its taking forever for my husband. He has someone back home who can get it for him but its taking forever. They keep saying next week and next week and we only have until June 9 to get everything. Ahh I am so scared.

Did anyone send it for you to the embassy? and how? This is the only thing that we need now. Everything else is done.

You mean the good conduct certificate, it took 2 days because they found my mom an old women, but dont worry they told me it is usually 10 days , can you plz take a picture for the certificate when he get it and send the picture to me you dont have to send the part which shows your husband name or information, plz because they sent me a letter from the the embassy saying the only document that they wear recieved was a police certificate and they still require the good conduct certificate, So i thought maybe because the seal was in arabic!So i sent them a translation for the paper including translation for the seal, that before 3 weeks and till now i didnt hear anything from them!plz i just want to check if i really sent the right paper!

Just want to ask you is it a good idea to call the Canadian Embassy in Jordan (Tel: +962-6-590-1500) and explain the situation of my wife and she is entering her 31 week and won't be able to ride the plane or may be they will not let her enter the plane and I was waiting for to give birth so i can update my status and inform them about the new baby. I am now writing a letter to be sent to them by email and registered post. It will be a risk for her to get on the plane for more than 15 hours. I hope they will consider the issues am going throw and postpone my application after the birth of my child for couple months.

Should i call the embassy and explain it to them

Hello, my lawyer sends them and email and calls them all the time and they never answer her. You can try that and also do what I told you. I called them myself one time and they didn't answer at all. Try calling and emailed and also getting all your documents together as well as the letter, the letter should be a back up just incase they don't email you back or answer the phone.

It is not the same Soso !I think they started to ask about this paper this year, because last year they asked me to give them a police certificate and i got it from "kasr al adel" and it was ok, nothing is clear and they dont answer emails so you can know what exactly they want or if they received your documents!! Hi everyone...! I am new here but have been following for over a year...it saddens me deeply to see how much pain and suffering we have to go through just to be as one with our loved ones. I applied for my hubby Dec.2012.... Sponsorship approved May 2013....to this time I have heard nothing.... It seems my MP is rather useless in his attempts to help.... I have gone through some health issues since a car accident and require major surgery August 12th. It appears I will go through this procedure without my husband .... As of today they have not started processing nor requested 2nd meds.... I pray for patience, this is so frustrating..... Thank you for letting me vent.

hi hunnie i applied a month before you on nov 2012 and they recently requested a second meds and more documents dont worry you will hear from them soon it sucks that its taking forever but all we can do is just be patient

Hi everybody, am new here and i need some help and advices if it possible due to my sponsorship situation.

I have received an email today telling me to submit documents and my wife passport:

Your Original valid passport(s) with at least one blank page.
· 2 recent photos (35mm x 45mm, white background).
· Your Original Iraqi Citizenship Certificate and your Iraqi Original ID.
. NOA from Revenue Canada for your Sponsor for 2013
. Employment letter and proof of income/salary for your Sponsor

Please submit these documents within 30 days of the date of this email. Failure to provide the requested documents within the given timeframe could result in the refusal of your application.


The expiry date of your visa will be 2014/07/02 OR the same expiry date of your passport (whichever comes first). You must arrive in Canada on or before this date, it cannot be extended or renewed.

the problem is that i am still looking for a job here in Calgary. So I do not have Employment letter
Also, my wife now is in her 8 months of pregnancy and they are saying that her visa will expire on 2 of July 2014 and will not be renewed or extended if she does not arrive to Canada in this date or before. In which gives me no time and i am confused about the short period of visa.

Please could anybody advise me what to do i will appreciate it. thanks

hi why are you making things more complicated send her passport as soon as possible just last week a friend of mine flew from iraq a day before her due date and she gave birth 2 days later in canada. i think if she gives birth then you will have to do a separate application for the baby so in my opinion sen her passport and make her wear loose clothes at the airport

WS ofcourse i dont mind I applied on Nov 9 2012 got the acceptance on jan 23 2013 and they started processing our application on march 14 2014, they also requested 2nd meds, military exemption letter from my husband and my 2012 note of assesment on april 26 2014

usually it takes between 3 to 5 months but with THE CANADIAN IMMIGRATION ??? anything is possible just be patient

And i kept sending them e-mails about how long it would takes
They reply

same here, my wife applied on Aug 3 2012 we got email on March 30 2014 to renew Medical exams, Police certificate, pay fee 490 CAD, we sent it in personal to Amman VO on April 23 2014 and still waiting.

I am very nervous now. My husbands police clearance is taking forever! It's been almost 3 weeks and they still haven't given us his police clearance! We have until June 11 to send everything and we have absolutely no time left! We are in Canada now and he needs this police clearance ASAP! His brother went to get it and they keep telling him to come back. I am so scared that if we don't hand in everything our file will be refused! Urgh! I have never seen a police clearance take almost 1 month!!! What can I do now?
