My wife just got this email from the embassy in Amman in regards to her Sponsorship.. I am sooooo excited YAAYYYYYYYYYYYY Finally the wait is over
REQUEST FOR SUBMISSION OF PASSPORTS

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. We are now in the final stages of processing and request that you send the following documents to our office in Amman, Jordan:

- Your ORIGINAL individual valid passport.

- 2 recent photos (35 mm x 45 mm, white background) for yourself.

- Your original Iraqi Identity and certificate of Irqi nationality.



Please note, this does not guarantee that a visa will be issued.

Your passports MUST be received at our Embassy in Amman no later than 30 days from the date of this letter. Failure to provide the requested documents within the given time frame could result in the refusal of your application. You are strongly encouraged to send your passport(s) via courier (If this service is available in your country) to avoid wait times at the Embassy.

EXPECTED VISA EXPIRY DATE:

If a visa is issued, it will be given the MAXIMUM VALIDITY of 2013/01/02 OR the expiry date of your passport whichever date comes first. You must arrive in Canada on or before this date, it cannot be extended or renewed.

Passports: Each person must have their own passport, including minor children. Your passport MUST be valid beyond the validity of your visa. Any passport changes after the visas are printed will result in a Replacement of an Immigration Document charge ($30.00 CDN) for each visa that needs to be reprinted.

My wife and I have been waiting for more than THREE YEARS & A HALF, so our lives have already been ruined!

Yes, we have.
Our bad story, in one word, is:
I applied in August 2008, till June 2010 I received nothing from CIC due to Background Checks and Documents Verifications. Then in September 2010 I went to Jordan to have our Iraqi Documents certified by Iraqi and Jordanian Authorities, after a while we were issued new Jordanian Marriage Certificates.
I sent our new certificates to CIC in November 2010 then I got the approval in March 2011, since April 2011; we have received nothing!
we actually don't have children. I really miss her, and so does she!

We only got new Marriage Certificates (فقط عقد زواج وشهادة زواج).

As now, The worst thing of my wife's application is, they haven't allowed her to undergo a medical exam yet!! So when we are contacted by the embassy, I think, we'll receive a request of a medical examination; therefore we have to wait at least THREE MONTHS after the up-coming request to receive a PPR!

your wife can repeat her medical examination without the Amman VO request as some friends here did,why she don't do the same as long as the MD examine is expired to win the time
do you mean it take 2years and half to just insure the reliability of the marriage certificate? or you mean 2years and half for 1st step of sponsorship that you are eligible to sponsor your wife ?

When I've written the embassy, Damascus Office, regarding the medical examination many times, they always responded: "Be Patient".
I'm going to have her redo it next week, in sha'a ALLAH.
Why it took us TWO YEARS and a HALF, we actually have no idea.

Hang in there guys! At least the weather in Toronto is looking a lot more lovely now and I assume all around Canada! Go out and enjoy the sun, and put this on the back burner for now . It will happen for all of us all we need is just time! And honestly use this time to finish your education or exceed in your job for a promotion whatever it might be use it to better yourself before our spouses come here, so we can have it all comfortable for them

Hmm whats up with ECAS? Seems very inaccurate..family member has completed interview questionnaire and medical exams. He can not log into his ECAS. All the information is accurate that he is typing ex. DOB, Application file number..birth location..last name etc..

Don't worry abour ECAS, there is always a problem with it or inaccurate.....as for me , I never got to log in with the file number, only client number works, u may wait and try to log in later on maybe it gonna work again
