I got a message saying : that my sponsorship papers are being forwarded to Visa Office in Amman for further processing. Question: how do i know that VO received the documents,? will they send me confirmation letter?

Hey I recieved my GCMS notes and it looks like i need the following as I was told by my case worker:


1- your wife needs to do a new medical examination as the one sent has expired.
2- they need also a new ORIGINAL updated police certificate from IRAQ ( for your wife)
3- a copy for her iraqi citizenship certificate
4- family list or civil status for her as married
5- employment letter for you from Canada

Should I begin sending these off or should I wait until they approach me?

What is my next step?

I have not received anything in the mail from them regarding my application.

yaaaay congrats samaseemo for the "in process"; maybe the officer in charge of our file, once it finished it, he started urs i don't think u will wait much longer good luck!!
by the way u were right abt the driving - the rule there is no rule, the priority for the stronger LoL; even crossing the street - if u have guts u do, if u wait, u'll never reach ur destination
also at the airport, i passed super easy, my husband got questions and questions; at the end they gave him 7 days visa and after that we had to contact the security services; fortunately, we were out of there in no time but i would like to return one day for a tourist visit

haha thats so funny i remember how me and my wife would cross the roundabouts and hoping we wouldnt get run over ! we had to leg it !
driving is too noisey theres so much honking there. its also funny how people like walking on the street instead of the sidewalk.

ive never had problems visiting Jordan. Westerners and europeans are treated like kings. but other arabs not so much.

Jordan has nice history id recommend visiting Petra and AQABA. theres so much to do there!

congrats!! they don't really send anything; really a very few get that kind of confirmation from the embassy; now some things they send online through their system, others (physical file, relationship proof they send by courrier); for the physical file it takes around 6 weeks, then they need to actually open it and update it in the system; so let's say in around 2 months u can either get the gcms notes and u'll see all this there, and/or just send them an email asking kindly to confirm that ur file is there; we chose the email option and they confirmed

did they send anything yet? there is a section in gcms called outgoing communication - all the letters/emails they send to u; if they already did and u don't have it, then u should just send the documents like that explaining why u send them but also tell them that u didn't receive that email/letter; make sure u include the file number and the applicant's uci
if they didn't then it's better to have the documents ready, wait for the email/letter and then send together with that email/letter; like this it's easier for them to give the documents to the right officer and attach it to the right file

hey, congrats to all you guys that have gotten email for the passport request and finally gotten their visa, i'm very happy for you!! i was just wondering, i know each and every case is different. How many weeks does it take untill they say something after the application goes under " in process", not even the passport request, like to redo the medicals, or maybe asking for interview or more documents? cause it's been over 14 months since my wife went for the medicals, and do they ask most of you to redo the medicals or they just consider the old ones?

at the end we can just speculate, noone knows for sure but it looks that if the application goes "in process" directly they waived the interview and they don't need any documents YET; maybe when ecas changes to in process it's really towards the end of the actual process, we don't know how they update it
for other people, it went to "in process" after the interview, of after they got email to send more documents, etc
and noone can tell u how long, from a few weeks to a few months; all u can do is hope
abt the medicals some ppl redo them themselves others wait; ours were expired since November at the end we waited and they just automatically extended them; it's a new rule since July last year: if the medicals r less than 15 months old, the embassy would ask for automatic extension from the medical office; that office will check the request, check the old medicals and could approve the extension or no; at the end, maybe she won't have to redo anything or she'd just have to redo only the xray for example or full; they will give you the exact instructions if necessary

I cant wait to get off of this process

One question,

When you sent in your applications, didn't you print the pictures and include it in your file? Also, why do they need the pictures, and why by email?

yeah u r right!! i would like to go back to Jordan to visit a few places, my husband not so much : but i was thinking when things will b ok in Syria and we'll visit (for my first time) why not stop to Jordan too for a few days; i definately want to see Petra (got hooked on it since watching Transformers ) and Dead Sea; the other place i'm not sure what it is, i'll research it when the time comes
loool well i'm not surprised ppl walking in the street since so many cars r parked on the sidewalk : actually when i took the directions on google maps, it gave warning saying something like: there might b no sidewalks lol
on another note, i finally could access the ecas yesterday, after 2 weeks crash; not sure when it was updated or what was updated first but now it says "decision made" for the applicant and also his residential address is changed to Montreal, Canada ;D so if any of u will see the address changed too it's definately a good sign
as for GCMS notes, it's been 30 days and we still didn't get them, not that it makes a difference now
