AM I ELIGIBLE STUDY IN CANADIAN COLLAGES ?

HI EVERYONE ..

i'm Sheeraz from Pakistan
i would like to know am i eligible to study in Canadian Colleges/Universities because i'm 30 years old ( Age Limit ?) .
i completed my Bs-Software Engineering degree from Pakistan & and also i did few others computers related certificates courses, & i've 4 years experience in I.T Field. i would like to take admission in PG Diploma in any suitable college in any province of Canada. i found one college seneca, i think it's probably in Toronto.

in 10th Class = my grade is B
in 12th class = D Grade ( there is a reason that i got accident but now i'm normal )
in BS-Degree = 2nd class
IELTS Academic = Overall 5.5 (*i know it's not enough but again i'm going to give IELTS in the end of this year)
i searched many colleges which accepts 5.5 overall in canada , but in this forum i found many comments, people were saying that it will be risky when you will apply for Canadian Visa ??
my bro, sister & few others relatives have been living in different provinces of Canada more than 10 years & they all are permanent citizens .. so what it'll be a negative impact on my visa ?
i haven't gone to Educational Consultants because they're sitting for making money ... maybe they will make me fool & assure me that you will get visa easily ... so that's why i don't want to go to consultants anyway.

so guys ??? how many chances are getting canadian visa for me ??
and what should i choose for study ? College/university ?

is there any age limit studying in canada ? as an international student ??
actually i don't have problem in money .. i've sufficient money if they want i will manage it extra.
so guys what should i do and which collage/university i select and in which province ??

please suggest me guys ?? i'm in miserable situation :'(

Hi Paki Bro, I am from Punjab. I am also selecting collage. I am almost finalised Selkirk Collage in BC. Very cheap tution fee and low cost living in small town. And, many jobs in town. I will apply next week. If you get good option than Selkirk share with me. My budget is less.

I think there is a problem in your IELTS score, Try to improve it and score beyond 6 or at least 6 with no band less than 5.5 ( Its mentioned in SPP check list). You will easily admitted to college.

Just improve your IELTS score and try to apply in a college in Toronto.

Thanks a lot dude for reply. Yes you're right I'll give an IELTS test again. but I want to ask how about my age ? What it won't be any issue getting admission as I'm 30 years . And in intermediate I've low grade so will they accept me ?

Hi CSJ, As you are a Pakistan national, you do not need to meet the SPP criterion. Some Canadian institutions will take you with EAP + the academic program. Given your academic scores which are low, you may find difficult to identify such an institution. Even if you cross the first hurdle of admissions, study permit approval from CHC will be a challenge. I do not want to discourage you, but that's the fact dear. Hope this will help.

Thanks for reply but what should I do ? I mean is there any other way , because I'm good in my field and I've an experience in my field but unfortunately I got very low grade in intermediate. But there was a reason behind this. So dude what should you suggest me what can I do to handle this program ?

You will need to seek advise from few college officials. That will be the best way to go forward.

" Please be advised that we cannot advise on eligibility in advance of an application."

So can I send my all documents to Seneca collage that they'll consider on it . Is there any fee for checking eligibility ?
