no response about extend the medical. they completely silent that's the sad part for all of us.half January gone but no movement at all..

27 Sep 2019 , medical expired in may 2019 which was done at the time of PR of my spouse, in 2020 child was sponsored, as we were waiting for medical extension or medical request finally after 8 months I got the medical , now wait begins for PPR, pre arrival already received in July 2020
They don't tell anything they just say contact through email I tried to ask them too.
Can anyone tell me that medical extension is last step or BGC ?? I would be thankful for info
We had submitted a webform request end of Nov and received response yesterday saying that ,
"initial review of your application has been completed and it has been determined that an interview is required. You will be contacted by our office for the next course of action. "
Had ordered GCMS notes a few times. The status says recommend interview and it was updated in July 2020. In the latest GCMS notes we received last week it is still the same. It seems they haven't touched the file since July 2020. In the NOTES section of the GCMS it is clearly written that they are satisfied with the relationship information , and that the PA is NOT inadmissible to Canada. After this it was forwarded for officer review and the officer's note says interview required .
In the GCkey account it says interview not required. No idea what is going on !
We had contacted the local MP's office in September and in Nov and according to them even Security is complete and there are no outstanding requirements .

We started processing PA's application on September 16, 2019. -- AOR 2
We sent PA medical instructions on August 13, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us with the information requested as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We sent PA a letter on August 30, 2019. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. -- file transfer to Delhi

In the eligibility section did it ever mention
eligibility :- recommend passed,
before it changed to review required or interview required?

I've had that message since day 1
Background check consists of few different steps.
1:- Police clearance from applicants home country / country of residence
2:- Security from CBSA and RCMP
3:- Criminality
it will show “we are processing you background check” from day one to the last day your application is approved. The only way to know if it’s done and cleared is by ordering GCMS notes.
The first set of GCMS notes (March 2020) says
Eligibility Assessment
Status : Review Required
In the notes section the officer had written that they are satisfied that the PA is NOT inadmissible to Canada. Officer review required
In the second set of notes June 2020 it says
Eligibility Assessment
Status Review Required
In the third set of notes Aug 2020 it says
Eligibility Assessment
Status Recommend Interview (updated in July)
In the notes section , the officer had written "review complete , recommend interview"
We contacted IRCC via local MP office after that and was told Security, Background check everything is complete and there is no outstanding requirements.
In the gcms notes received last week it says
Eligibility
Status Recommend interview (updated July 2020)
In the GCMS notes under Events they have created
Event Interview
Purpose Eligibility
But they haven't added the date or time . And this was there since July 2020.
Which is why I think they haven't touched the file since July 2020.
