Hi All,

Update, I applied Aug 2019. This Friday my spouse received a call from New Delhi Visa office, they asked her questions about our relationship, when we got married, how many times i visited her during the application process, etc etc. All questions were generic and the call was about 7-8 minutes. Just today i got the pre-arrival services letter. Hope this helps..
Can you share the number from with your spouse got the call? Also, is your spouse in India or Canada?

YES these days they started calling Canada from NDVO to clarify any doubts. My friend had a similar call too. It is better than asking sponsor to personally come to the NDVO however they have the right to ask sponsor to be present
NDVO called the sponsor?

YES they called while applicant was being interviewed like 2 AM

Hello,
I am December 2019 applicant.

I am sponsor and currently visiting my husband in India.
Since I am not in Canada right now, and I am planning to stay for 2 months here in India. What if they will try to call me to my Canadian no.? (somehow I have lost my Canadian SIM card too)

Please help if someone has any idea?
Thank you

Out of the Blue, the call was not schedule. My wife was not even bothering to pick up the phone thinking it to be spam, however she did and all went good. Today i saw the pre arrival services letter in my CIC account. Hope i hear some more good news in coming weeks/months.

Yes, its still showing the same. I am not sure if it was an interview call, generally they do email upfront about the schedule if they are planning to conduct an interview. Questions were also very generic, nothing sounded like they had any concerns. I dont know if the call was done as a part of background check or for any other reason. However, what i read so far is that receiving pre arrival letter means that the Primary Applicant's eligibility is passed and more or less they made out that the relationship is genuine.
