i think its the time each visa office takes to process an application thats frustrating. The system or method by which they process the application is still a mystery. Is it "First come First Serve"? Is it according to alphabetical order? etc.... and there are also so many unanswered questions like why is there a backlog? why do they ask for more immigrants when they dont even have time to process the existing applicants who have been waiting for years? who can answer all these questions???? well, what else can applicants do....wait, wait, wait......! :'( :'( :'( :'(

I can understand ur frustation and perspective......but u try to step into their shoes........they cannot grant PR to anyone(without doing BC and SC thoroughly, which takes a lot of time and energy)

According to me, they process an application based on NOC list, the more the demand of a particular NOC, they process applns from that NOC on priority and vice versa.

The intrinsic workings of CIC and various VOs is hard to determine, we can only do guesswork.....thats it ;)

I agree to most of your points, but then i have another question.

Lets say an IT professional who applied 2 or 3 years ago.... is still waiting for his application to be "IN PROCESS" where as some one of the same profession who applied last year is already in canada. Don't you think thats being unfair?

Dear who are we to judge if its fair or not.......

Whenever we apply for a visa we have to remember.....thats its not our right but a privilege and it can be denied with or without prejudice.

My answer to ur above query would be : The guy who applied last year would be an MI3 applicant, who has already recd a positive determination eligibility by CIO and IO has to now only look at the logical disposition of his file by applying local knowledge.
Whereas the person who has applied 3 years back would be an MI1 applicant and his positive eligibility determination would be done by IO and not CIO and hence it may not be processed as quickly as an MI3 applicant.

This are just my views.....they can differ from person to person :)

WELL THIS IS NOT TRUE. AN ECONOMY IS NOT BUILT ON VISA FEES. RATHER THESE DAYS CANADIAN IMMIGRATION HAS BECOME VERY STRICT. IF A VISA OFFICER HAS A SLIGHTEST OF DOUBT HE/SHE WOULD NOT AWARD POINTS. ON THE OTHER HAND I HAVE MYSELF SEEN MANY PAKISTANIS GOING EASILY THROUGH THESE HURDLES. IT DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS THOUGH. THANKS

first of all using caps is like yelling at people, you'r either yelling at us cause we're no respectable in your eyes or you don't know so please know that.
Second your statment is naive because don't you also know that every immigrant that comes here brings his life savings and buys a car, buy or rent a house, and spends here? Some people here bring hundreds of thousands and some bring the minimum it is still a huge advantage to this country.
