I recieved a letter from cic asking for an update on my application in oct. 2008 and I sent my updates in dec 2008.

I also checked my ecas status and there the address has been changed and I think the authorisation of the agent has also been removed. But i have not received any confirmation on the same.

Finally got our medical request! :)

Thanks guys.

We applied on our own, without the aid of a consultant. I’m not that familiar with some terms (like AOR, NOC, etc..). I previously thought the application date is the date that appears on the CIC website when you check the application status. From my research, AOR is the date we got the file number. And the application date is the date we literally "sent" the application. Just let me know if I got this wrong. Anyways, based on this, below are the timelines/details of our application:

Visa Office: Manila
Category: Federal Skilled Worker
Application Filed: Oct.2004
AOR received: Feb.2005
Documents Update: May 2010
Medical Request: Aug. 2010

Hi zsashimi,

We received a letter last May that said we are short of points. We didn't took IELTS and there were no documents of continuing presence of our relatives in Canada. The Visa office told us to send the updates within 2 months together with the updated info of our settlement funds. We just followed their instructions and sent the documents they requested.

What province will you be in?

Rcosing,

congrats! please keep on posting any developments on your application. It excites me coz mine (AOR) is April 2005. This thread really gives me hope. Is there anyone who already received request for document updates from applicants of March 2005 or April 2005?

Hi rcosing,

Piolo, for the old applicants, they will follow the old process wherein IELTS is not mandatory :-)
