I share your frustration with the canadian immigration policies >:(
It is the most unfair and non-transparent immigration system in the world.
People have been waiting since more then 6 years and others are getting visa in six months. Shame >:(
And what is worst they do not even tell when your case will be finalised and keep increasing the timelines.

Has anyone checked a facebook blog Canada Non-Serious About Immigration Backlog???

Hi I am also the applicant of sept 2004 . I am waiting for any reply from Islamabad???????

Hi I may be a newbie here but I've been reading the thread for quite some time. Don't lose hope...I also applied in January 2005, asked for document updates on Jan 2009. Request for medicals Jan 2010, medicals done March 2010. Passports requested May 27, 2010 sent May 30. e-cas changed to DECISION MADE June 17, 2010. Up to now I am still waiting for my MAPLE-LEAF stamped passport. It may be a long wait but it's worth it. By the way, my visa office is Manila Philippines...good luck to all of you and keep reading the thread. I made notes myself and it is indeed very useful. Thanks to all the seniors!

I believe the applications under the old system(before Feb, 2008) will move faster now.
It's about time to let the old applicants move on with their lives(whether it's an approval or
a rejection).

i know! i have read the new news in CIC there wil be faster immigration this 2010! I hope there will be an action for it

Dear Members
I have applied under federal skilled worker in august 2007 and i received file no in september 2007. After that i have not received any letter from CHC islamabd. I have not received letter to showing countinue interest to canada. Any senior member advise me i am not eligible for canada immigration.

Dear Friends
This is a good news for old applicants that the Immigration cases pending since 2004 will now be cleared on top priority. As per leading immigration expert, "Once the backlog is cleared, It's anticipate that the Canadian immigration intake would increase again, making it one percent of the Canadian population. But clearing of this backlog of 380,000 applications may take another two to three years".
As,now, onward the CIC will approve only 20,000 cases per year ,although, they have the objective to clear the files of 2,40,000 to 2,60,000 immigrants per year.

With the announcement that fairness to all applicants shall be given a chance, then that's a reflection that some if not all old cases will be concluded without further delay. The pace at start might not be as fast as thought, since it's not a day's backlog! but then atleast we hope there will be some uninterrupted movement.Let's pray and hope for calls sooner than later..

Hi Phoona,
No need to worry as the receiving of said letter is/was not ever considered to be important for the applicants who is still interested in immigration as the sending of reply to the said letter was not mandatory or required and some of applicants do not received the said letter due to the mistakes (of CIC ,post office, wrong address, house closed etc..)

Rajan.
