Hello
Need urgent help
Did anyone had to reply to this question at full hearing "WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS IF YOU CAN'T COME TO CANADA?"
What would be the best answer for that?
Thanks

No,absolutely not. If they think its simple and can be resolved easily, they may go the ADR route. If not, it goes to appeal. Not everyone wins.

I just want to know how much time I have to mail the appeal to federal court. I hear 60days but not sure. Do you know?

You only have 15 days to file application to. Federal court for case in Canada .

This is as per section 72 of immigration act
72-2b ( application section)

I found the info, is 60days since case arise from outside canada. Thank you

Subject to paragraph 169(f), notice of the application shall be served on the other party and the application shall be filed in the Registry of the Federal Court (“the Court”) within 15 days, in the case of a matter arising in Canada, or within 60 days, in the case of a matter arising outside Canada, after the day on which the applicant is notified of or otherwise becomes aware of the matter;

Guys quick question. I am filing doc request from Mississauga and IMM008 asks for date of marriage. Now this was one of the reason we got rejected as there was a confusion between Islamic wedding (Nikah) and date registered in court. On the old forms originally submitted, i put the date of court but it should have been the actual islamic marriage for which I clarified at court.

Now which date shall I put, court or the actual date we did the Nikah/Katb Kteb

If that’s the case then I would put the date of the Katb Kteb. That’s what I put the date of mine as.

To win the appeal do you need a lawyer? I can't afford one, they want thousands of dollars. What they are saying isn't even true. My partner answered the questions in the interview properly but the agent treated him badly from the minute he sat down. She just kept calling him a liar and saying our 3 year relationship is not legitimate. They have no proof that we are lying because we are not. How can they just refuse our application and say "we think"? They need proof we are liars and they don't have. We do have proof of our relationship but they ignore it and say well I don't believe. How is this possible?
This is so incredibly mentally and emotionally hard
Completely agree. My husband and I have been waiting for 4 years for our case to unfold. He lives in Ghana, I'm in Canada, so it's not easy to fly there whenever I want. Not to mention, who has the money to go jetting off literally across the world whenever they want. The distance is horrible. This whole process has been so emotionally, mentally, and financially draining. It consumes your life, worrying and waiting and more worrying. It literally destroys people.
