Sad news :( Depressing case...
Hello all! I am newly registered here, I am sponsoring my husband, however we both live outside canada because we do not want to separate during the application process. The whole process went through quite smoothly in the past 6 months, however we have received a Rejection/Refusal letter from the local visa office ( Hong Kong ). We are so heart broken, the refusal reason was they are “not satisfied” with the evidence to proof that I had intention to move back.

2 weeks ago they have requested us for the evidence before the decision was made, we sent it in right away upon request. I’ve tried to sent them the most convincing documents as possible. Yet, they just turn us down without giving a chance of interview to explain things further.

I am planning to go to the Consulate on Monday, and will also apply for Appeal.
Do I need to send in other evidence along with the appeal form?
million thanks if anyone here could give me some advise...we did everything by ourselves because we really can’t afford a lawyer or a consultant. And It seems they dont trust me in moving back makes me feel like I am not welcome to return to my country :’(

If you feel that you answer well there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Genuine couple rarely get denied for their appeal.

I won my appeal on January of this year some of the questions they asked me were questions about my wife’s family they asked me about her brothers and her sister they also asked me a surprisingly uncomfortable question and almost caught me off guard they asked me if I was in a relationship before I met my wife and if I had sex and I was honest with them and told them the truth, they asked me while My wife was on the phone and totally put me on the spot it was so nerve-wracking but thankfully I had talked to my wife before we got married and explain to her that I was in a few casual relationships while I was in high school and college and this is totally normal in this part of the world and she understood. Other questions they asked where basic questions such as employment and the number of times I went to visit her also they asked my wife through an interpreter on the phone if she knew exactly what I worked and they wanted specifics such as job duties for example they don’t want to hear that your husband is a Cook they want to know exactly what he’s cooking and for which restaurant he works for also they would like to know about his schedule because these are the kind of things that you would share with your wife, The whole process is pretty stressful so I wish you the best of luck and my best advice to you is be as honest as you can even if it makes You uncomfortable

When did you get your decision letter? By most ppl on this forum, it takes approximately 2 months to receive additional documents after the decision letter.

So I just made a post about this before, I forgot to mention the fact that, I was given the time frame of 30 days to submit the documents as stated in the procedural fairness letter, yet the officer made its final decision ( negative ) after two weeks of my submission, as I shall have the right to submit more evidence within the specific time frame, I wrote a letter to the officer to reconsider my new documents today ( with all of the supporting evidence on hand) ...

I'm so sorry to hear you got refused! It seems they're getting very strict with this. Can I ask what sort of proof you provided them? I do hope they reconsider their refusal!

Hello All,

Just an update on my case. I have uploaded all my requested documents on my GCKEY on May 16th. Medicals Passed. BGC is process.
My appeal was accepted on FEB 13, 2019. It has been 3 months and half now. I was told it can take up to 6 months until my spouse is here. Is it 6 months? I hope it can be quicker. I pray that everyone gets good news soon. I know how hard it is when reading everyone's questions and timeline. I have been through it too. Anyone please let me know how quick WARSAW Vise Office after Background check in progress. Thank you and good luck to everyone!
