Alicee my husband and I answered our questions good. The Minister's counsel rushed everything, he was also so rude. We didn't get a decision yet because the Minister's counsel had another hearing to attend the same day. When the judge asked him for final remarks, he said he couldn't give that at that time because he had another case and also he is going on vacation soon so we have to wait till middle of next month for him to give the judge his final report so that the judge can render a decision. So another two months of wait....so unfair. This appeal process is garbage. Innocent people are suffering.

I'm so sorry Marie. this system really hurts

Dear All,

First up, I woul like to express my gratitude to each one of you, for helping us through full hearing of our appeal.

Our hearing was on Dec 6 2017, and after 2 hours 30 minutes of session, Minister’s counsel submitted for Appeal to be Allowed, in short, we won our appeal.

It was very cordial and unbiased. I really appreciate the gesture of Minister’s counsel, who supported all the evidences, and requested for appeal to be allowed.

This was very intense session, they called my wife and spoke with her for full 50 minutes, after I was asked many question pertaining to our marriage.

We did not hire any lawyer or consultant, we prepared everything on our own, with the help of other members of this forum, VG73, was the first one, who suggested not to hire lawyer/consultant, and provided me lots of questionnaire.

To all in waiting, please prepare everything on your own, and win it.

I wrote them before our appeal. They suggested once appeal was won they can call and check on status. Today my MP’s office emailed me to say they are waiting for my husbands email so I sent it to hto r and she was going to forward it to them. They have an issue with us using the same email apparently but we did all the way through our application. Why now it’s a secret, yet we should know about our spouses. So frustrating. If this doesn’t work I will set up another email under his name so I can still access it as Jamaica’s wifi isn’t so readily available as ours....God help me deal with these ppl
They shouldn't. ..all along they had my original email. But also our lawyers. Then after winning the appeal. Ottawa asked for a contact email. I answered with both our lawyer. Also with the one we share. I told them that specifically. They emailed us back on said email. Only the incorrect ppr went to the lawyer. Then I got that fixed with MP's office assistant help. They sent correct to us. I also was able to link account. I made the account and logged on. Not my husband.
Also a side note, my husband's or card came today. He landed October 14, today December 8. So about 8 weeks!

I updated the web form twice and also had my MP’s office forward them the email. My “use of representative” form still hasn’t been received after sending it twice via the web form. Hopefully next week we will get the info they are looking for....seems even though you win, your still in the dark which is really frustrating

Think twice hiring a lawyer for adr plz
My ADR is done.....lol I won.....I hired someone just to help me prep evidence and interview ....another man on here was inquiring about a lawyer

I’m new on this thread. Trying to get an idea of how long the appeal process takes, been trying to look at peoples timelines, but can anyone give me a general idea?

I'm so sorry Hun. Don't loose hope.

Why did they do a hearing and not an ADR?

hi, Critical situation here :) our all correspondence through email. my online status showing-
''' We sent you correspondence on December 5, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required. '''

But we didn't get any email from cic Singapore office. We r so frustrated, cos they may refuse again if we fail to send them required documents whiten 30 days. Give mail to cic to resend the mail, no idea they fix it or not. we ask GCMS note but that will take 30 days!!
5th December we mail cic about change our representative and my wife will be our representative now, cic reply mail on 5th December asking us a signed imm 5476 Representative form and we sent that. So we r confused weather the change of status is about the representative forms? Or we miss the mail about our Medical, updated forms and pcc request which we r expecting for last 2 months after wining our adr !!

please advice if someone face same situation and overcome it. :( :(
