Just be confident and speak your mind. They give you time to ask questions so that’s when you tell them your concerns about what the officer asked or wrote. Mine was all based on the interview. They didn’t ask me anything about my husband or his family or anything to do with his childhood etc. They questioned why some of his family didn’t attend the wedding, and I was honest they couldn’t afford it
Thanks for all the info

I WON

Make sure you have answers to all the questions in the blue book where the interview notes are. That’s all they touched on...lots of why this and why that? It’s very informal and they allow you to ask questions as well

Good luck to you!
Congrats jamaicanwife
Did they call your husband too during your ADR or it was just you and the VO ?

For the ADR they only interview the appellant, aka the person who lives in Canada.

Hello , pls what's the procedure to appeal my case and how long those it take .
Hi,

As soon as you receive refusal letter, you can submit an appeal challenging the decision on your applciation, within 30 days. Once, appeal applcaition accepted, you would received a blue file, mentioning all the concerns, which led to the refusal, the which will arrive in 120 days of submission of your appeal application. then you gather all the required documents in support of your challenge on the refusal. Once you submit, all supprting docs, please wait to hear from them about the ADR/Full hearing.

Just received the agreement for signature on my appeal, now goes to the minister for approval, then once that is signed goes back to VO to continue process. Has anyone ever had to re-interview or do anything else other than update forms and PCC and Medical, if needed? They told me it could take a few weeks to a few months to complete the whole process Praying it’s done and finalized by Xmas and I can bring hubby home to spend Xmas with his family.

What I read from previous posts, all the cases, where appeal is allowed, there is no other comeback. VO would issue visa.
Most of the time, it would take time, as you've mentioend. But, remember, they are expediting the cases, and hopefully, your wish to celebrate X-Mas together. All the very best and thank you for sharing information, and other details.
