With how these people work, it would be a damn miracle. Since mine is November 16th. I doubt it will be by Christmas, because you have to fill out forms again and send it to them. Most likely we have to redo medical sand police check because those have expired. So I'm thinking any where from 4-8 months after
Fill out forms? Send to Ottawa? I was told when EI it will go to CBSA then to Ottawa and they will request PPC and medical if needed (our medical is good until March)and then back to JA for passport request. God I hope it’s not another 4 months. I was hoping by February at the latest. Damn CIC. When were you last to see hubby?

I was last there in June for 10 days, not easy to travel and stay so long with kids and work. We talk multiple times a day as well. Praying this is over soon

I know. We don't have any kids yet but I have spoken to my managers at both jobs and they have always been understanding so I always get 3 weeks off to go see him.

I'm just curious as to what questions they will ask. When is your ADR meeting?

My ADR is Nov 14, not sure what they will ask. Probably similar questions that were asked of our hubbies. How long have you been married?

We have been married for 3 years and 3 months

We are 2 years 6 months, been together almost 5 years....if that’s not proof enough of a genuine marriage I don’t know what is! Obviously they have never been away from their spouse for long....

hi guys/anyone:
i am new here. and i just have a few questions:

1. what normally or likely are the reasons for refusal of OWP (openworkpermit) applications?
2. if one is approved on his/her OWP application, does that mean he or she has greater chances for spousal sponsorship application for PR?
i am in toronto now just trying to finish the one year cohabitation required to apply for commonlaw sponsorship.
so i need to know in advance what needs to be done to avoid refusal/denial.
any answers will be appreciated. thank u

For your ADR did they interview your husband too?
IAD said we were not eligible for adr as we had several red flags. We needed more than an hour. They said full appeal. We got offered a 3 hour morning slot and jumped on it. We won in 2 hours. They had called my husband for his testimony. Talked with him for about 20 minutes maybe. And at the end the IAD member asked the CSBA agent what his thoughts were, he said he had no concerns and was letting the appeal go thru. The member said she agreed to put aside the refusal and allow appeal. She say congratulations!

So my husband took his passport to the embassy, watched the video about Canada and walked out with his visa and copr on the morning of the 11th.!!!!! Said he was with about 30 other ppl.
He flew to Canada on the 14th! 4 years and 9 days after we first meet in person. One month short of a 3 yr wait after applying. What should have taken 7 months, took 3 yrs. He landed in Montreal, took about 40 minutes, also had our furbaby in tow! 3 flights later, my family is home:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Life is getting sweeter by the second :D:D:D:D:D:D:DA big thank you to all the ppl on the forum who helped us over the years, I will stay tuned.
