Seems everytime I post on the regular thread. Nobody answers me. Yet I try and help ppl as best as I can. I even put myself in June 2017 Outland thread. Posted our timeline in their spreadsheet. All was fine for a few days then I put DM and somebody take my profile off. I commented on that, nobody apologized. I said that's fine I will stick with my appeals thread. Most ppl on these other threads are so whiny about waiting 5 days, 1 week, 1 month. 2 months. Smh. Only us over here can relate.
Anyhow, yes my husband got DM on August 10. I pray to get off this roller coaster freak show of a government bureaucracy. As most of us have and will!
What I would like to know is, has anyone imported a kitten, we have a sweet little guy, he is 6 mos old. Our furbaby! Cannot leave him behind. I have researched Canada's rules & Air Canada's. AC suggest I call the Canadian Embassy to inquire about their rules. I have just sent emails to CBSA and a Canadian Embassy something rather. Ugh, and Karen I haven't forgotten about you.

I have not done it however I understand that as long as it has a rabies vaccination and documents from the vet and is u de 6 months should be NP. Remember that some airlines do not allow animals

My husband picked up his visa and will be here Aug 24

Hey Mary,
Here's some really helpful info for bringing your furbabies from a different country:
http://www.inspection.gc.ca/animals...s-rabies-free/eng/1364961486824/1364961633165
Remember most countries are not considered rabies-free, so I'm giving you the link with instructions when your cat is not from a rabies-free country, these are the rabies-free countries
  • Anguilla
  • Antigua
  • Australia
  • Bahamas
  • Barbados
  • Bermuda
  • Cayman Islands
  • Fiji
  • Finland
  • Iceland
  • Ireland (Republic of)
  • Jamaica
  • Japan
  • New Zealand
  • Norway
  • Saint Kitts and Nevis
  • Saint Lucia
  • Saint Martin (Netherlands Antilles)
  • Saint Pierre et Miquelon
  • Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
  • Sweden
  • Turks and Caicos Islands
  • United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland)
  • Uruguay
If your husband's isn't there, just follow the link I gave you above. You basically need to have proper proof of vaccination, and it has to be in English or French!

I'm so glad your husband got DM, here's hoping it's good news! I'm sure it is!

Thank you Galano & Tamyeh!
I see rabies shot and perhaps medical with papers. I believe to be enough. We are talking about Morocco. Air Canada & Royal Air Maroc have pet policies for cats. So I'm going to go with AC. As it will be easier & probably pay just one fee. Thank you I will go to those links as soon as I'm done supper. Also almost all documents in Morocco are Arabic & French. So will be no problem.
It was actually 9 days for DM since uploading. So am very thankfull for that. Pray an email comes this week.

I think it's just the rabies shot with proof.

That must be record time, people usually wait months, so happy for you, your nightmare will soon be over. I'm so used to bad news that I'm already expecting the worst with my case haha.

How long you guys waited for a letter to update form after winning appeal?

2 weeks our letter came. 2 weeks after that Ottawa received my husband's file. So that was June 5. July 11 is when they asked for updated forms, pcc & medical.

I waited one and half months, but I kinda feel like I had to nudge them, I sent the original visa office an e-mail after not hearing from them for all that time and then two days later I got the med and form request from Ottawa.
