what's going on with your case? Are you in the queue for security check?

Anyone ... I found out my wife is in the queue for security check. How long does that take? There is a note in ATIP file saying she was put in the queue in mid August

Also ... is that the final step before the VISA?

Hi Wintersnow, your timeline making me nervous..you won appeal in Jan 2016 and still has not received final decision on your application. I won appeal in May2016 and dont know when I win get the decision made.

it's not unusual. You will be lucky if you get your PPR 8 months after the successful appeal. You should expect a request for medical about 4 months after the appeal. if you don't ... get in touch with your MP right away. I don't know what happened with our case but the Beijing office only received the decision 6 months after the successful appeal. After they received it the process progressed quite quickly.

I have read that it is possible some applications are intentionally held back to make sure CIC does not exceed it's quota. It doesn't make sense that it took 6 months for the appeal decision to make it to the Beijing office. But, in doing so, they pretty much assured our case will be finalized next year. Maybe this year's quota is full.

Keep on it ... use your MP. Your time line should be 4 months to get medical and 8 months to get PPR.

I live in Prince Edward Island and my husband is in Cuba. I have spoken to my ADR agent in Montreal on several occasions since sending the appeal in April. I have been told that I will receive a letter 20 days before interview with directions on how info is to be prepared and the address of the tele conference in Halifax Nova Scotia on Dec 20th and that it will be approx 1 hr to address and prove the reasons for the denial wrong. They require that the information is sent to both addresses on the appeal letter and that it be in appendix format. I will sending letters from my family with addresses and phone numbers as well as letters from my husbands friends and co workers in Cuba. Well be sending copies of phone calls . cards , and letters, copies of trips since the interview., pictures of us. I will also send a summary of our relationship and the stress of all of this process and address the reasons for the denial. So I have almost 2 months to prepare.

Hope you are doing well and the process is going smoothly for you.
I am Albanian too, sponsoring my husband that lives in Albania.
Can you please let me know what where considered red flags in your file from the visa officer that you got rejected first time you submitted papers.
I am sure your marriage is genuine like mine is, but is good to know in advance some tips from the people who went through this horrific experience.
