Holy Sh**...I finally am in front of the line for scheduling. I phoned the IAD in Vancouver, and was told they contacted my lawyer ready to schedule in Saskatchewan. That was 2 weeks now the lawyer hasn't contacted me, glad I phoned the IAD. So I will leave everyone with that advice always check up with your status and know where you are. Your lawyer might not always be on the ball. I've been waiting 2 years, IAD said they are booking into April so I hope that is my time.

I got a phone call from my lawyer said that Appeal division is not offering ADR for my case and it has to go for full hearing. I am in Mississauga can any one please tell me know much time it will take to get full hearing date? and to whom I should contact to get date confirmation. need contact number please
Please let me know.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you so very much maddant. You have really been helpful. The wait is really long and frustrating. I put in the appeal December last year and got the blue book around February or March. I guess i still have to wait more. That's really bad.

You are very welcome Marcus.........yes this process is very stresful but one thing i can tell you is get everything in order for when the hearing comes...go very everything with your spouse and ask questions if you have doubts at all.......take a look on the canill website so you can go over other ppl appeal case to get a feel of what you and your spouse will be going tru.... www.canill.org is the website to check on....most cases that get turn down is because the husband and wife contradict themselves that is why you have to be on the same page with your spouse and your spouse have to be on the same page with you.....Most important thing to remember is dates....your lawyer will tell yout the same thing also....if you have any question i will sure be glad to help or or any other person going thru there appeal....we are hear to help each other.....you can inbox if you want also

Hello to all! please help me to clarify this. On 2011 I got marriage in Canada and we applied for an inland sponsor same year. On 2012 immigration told me that I have to leave Canada and start an outland process because the inland is going to be close because I won't be in Canada. I came to back home and my husband and I applied for outlan on 2012. Then on 2013 the embassy interviewed me and told me that they don't believe in my marriage, we appeal and won on 2015. Our lawyer told us that the embassy in the country where I am now will contact me for updates, police record and medical certificate and my passport to continue with my PR process. Now a few days ago my husband found a letter in the mailbox from immigration in Ottawa asking for the same things that we expected to be asked from the embassy in my country. The letter is on my name but in canada. It is normal or is something that is not common to happen?? Thanks

Hi all,

Lets see there is a backlog of approx 400K as it stands right now and they are rushing in 25K in 4 months...they say that this will not effect the current situation but they have not had a huge hiring spree so you do the math...

Hello wife0210,
this is exactly the same what happened to us. I received the letter with my husbands name but my address. i just scanned all the pages and emailed it to him. I have send a case specific inquiry because it was my address on his medical form but have not heard from them yet. i did call the call center and they told me that it was ok that my address is on it as it is his future address. he has send me all the forms and stuff so its on its way here now. then i will send it to ottawa as soon as it gets here.

i will look about the police check...i think they have instructions regarding where it needs to be done. my husband never lived here. as far as passport goes only current one.

directions for the police check are on the following link. it says you need one from each country you lived in for more than 6 months since you were 18.
