Hi everyone

Can somebody please help me? I am a permanent resident of Canada, got married with a refused refugee claimant, he was interviewed earlier today, and said that I will take all your documents to send to Vienna embassy, and tell your wife that she can make an appeal about my decision, I presume that though we still do not have the decision in writing, I can just see that it was refused. I am trying to gather all the necessary documents to prove that our relationship is real as early as now. Is it really advisable to get a lawyer to represent me? I can make my own explanation in writing anyways and fill the appeal without a help of the lawyer, I just find it a waste of money to get a lawyer, that well in fact I can do most of the things anyway myself, please advise thanks

lawyers are professionally trained people, you can do all the things but not better than lawyers. I will suggest hire any lawyers although it is expensive but it will make your case better than you in the sense that officer will understand your case clearly, positively. rest is your decision.
there is always difference between licensed and professional people than non.

You should wait. This what Tom Gasper told me when I called. Decision made, but they have no rights to say the win/reject over the phone. Tom said to wait for the letter. Tell your wife to call Tom Gasper. Tell him your hearing was more than 90 days. See what he says. 416-952-7547. Tom will answer. This his direct number.

Go to your MP let them know about your case. Them call and for sure the officer will tell them the decision. Good luck.

Not yet. I am in Colombia. As my lawyer told me the embassy have 4 monts to request: medical examination , Perdon to go back to Canada, police record from Colombia and from canada. I don't know if I have to pay again PR we have being pay PR 2 times first wen we apply for sponsor in Canada and wen we apply for sponsor out Canada.

Thank you for your reply.......you should only pay the PR one time only....If you pay for the resident fee in canada and your application was denied, they should of gave you your money back but you would have to be the one to request back your money from them........... right now that money you could use for paying the ARC payment if you know what i mean but.... I think you should call cic and ask them about getting your money back for the first time you pay the PR fee when your application was file for sponsorship inland. if you have a lawyer just call your lawyer and ask them about the money..... i never hear about anyone have to pay PR fee more than once.

Not a problem.

Tom told me letter will come. Than after received my letter saying we won. Phone they not allowed to say.

hello there Waitingsince2012 I am not sure of your circumstance or why you were refused but thats an awful long time waiting and i really feel for you i hope all works out for you soon and you will be together as a family....if you need to chat inbox me i think it helps when you know your not alone in this fight and someone to talk to

Hi Waiting, really it is so very sad when people are refused and little children are involved. Are you right now waiting for the appeal? do you have the list of possible appeal questions to prepare yourself? We had every red flag and we were also refused but we won our appeal. so dont loose hope. if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I know, my husband didnt get to see my son grow up from his baby days. He is just over 3 years old now. Well we had a few red flags too but I won the appeal at the end of October. So I dont know how long more I have to wait from here onward until they issue the visa.

Yes waitingsince2012......i start my journey with this sponsorship process from back inna January 2012 and im still here waiting for that day i get my visa so i can go live with my wife in canada and be a happy family... We had our appeal in Oct. and we won but got the decision letter in november though which was good...So know i wait just like you and other ppl on the appeal thread waiting for the to send us requests of what they need from us..I just want this process to be a distant memory and i can laugh back at this when i get older.....lol........i hope to hear from you soon

hi, my opnline status says theu sent me correspondence on Nov 24 2015. i live in pakistan. Adress where they sent correpondene are of my in laws . my in laws are not in pakistan and and they are in usa rytnow. Nobody is living there currently. Can anyone pplease guide . whom should i contact? i mean which courier service do all that activivty. any idea.
