Hi love bird.im new here ..can share with us your experience about the appeal, just need some information how is it go like thank..you
spousal appeal is similar
To other courts appeals. U have to submit docs to proof that ur case is genuine, while vo has not considered all facts.
Appeal is initiated in iAd immigration appeals division by a lawyer or immigration consultant, u can do it yourself as well.
Now a days appeals hearing time is long time, must wait months to be heard in iAd

sorry to hear that. It's the worst news a couple can hear. My husband and I were refused in may. I filed appeal in June. You need to file appeal. Sign the paper the visa office send with your refusal. Says on there what to put, sign and send. Meantime research a lawyer. Idk about 6 grand. You can ask around, not sure where you are but you should be able to find someone near you on here. They could possibly recommend a lawyer. You do not need to pay all at once. You give them a retainer. Mine first time was 500. Hopefully your working or your husband is working and you both contribute. A few couples just do appeal on their own. I would read back about appeal process, timelines and search out people from same country VO on here.

@Maryl can share your experience at the hearing like what they ask trying go get more advice here..thank you

I have not had hearing yet. I am waiting for copy of file from overseas visa office. Maybe next year I will have hearing.
If you read back a few pages look for details about appeal. You should also find someone from your same visa office. There's also ppl that have just gone thru alternate dispute resolution. ADR is for cases that can be fixed more easily. Full appeal are for the more complicated ones. Also good to contact ppl that have won and landed.
I am always reading back or clicking on profiles and reading posts of members that have experience.

Your first choice would be to get an ADR through a competent lawyer by assembling/submitting all relevant documents to prove the relationship. Good Luck.

Hey, I had the same issuse with my wife last year. I appeal and ith went to ADR. I did not take a lawyer to represent me. I did it myself and I won the ADR in April 2015. You just have to show proof to the panel. Maybe take a trip and visit him, go on a mini vacation, take alot of pic, etc.

Congratulations KkOCT2013,
Can you share you experience in the hearing those question they ask..Thanks

they did not send the appeal forms with it at all !! I had to print them on line just sent to get money back I don't want money back want to fight it and I have no idea what to send with the appeal forms iam in Calgary alberta Canada I wil be calling around this morning about lawyers and things bc this is just crazy

Just fill out forms accordingly. Like file numbers and/or UCI numbers and names. I believe there a spot for both applicant and spouse.
