Are you serious?
How come?

-they misplaced file for several months
-there were work slow downs at many embassies
-problems getting request for police certificate.

the process after wining appeal was more difficult. Hope it goes smoothly for you.!

They just call the spouse on the number you give them before your hearing starts. They spoke to my husband for about 20-30 minutes. They will confirm some of the answers you gave. They will need to match your answers.

Thank you Newbie.....they will confirm the answer from the interview at the embassy or just confirm with your spouse at the full hearing.

Hello everyone. Im just new here. I am quite apprehensive about my visa application. My husband had already been approved of his PR application, and I was asked to send my passport to the Embassy for the visa. it was stated there that my passport will be returned 4-6 weeks after my husbands PR grant. its almost 7 weeks now of waiting and we dont have any idea when it will be returned. I mailed my passport last July 28, and the PR grant was August 16,2014. had anybody been in the same situation? God bless us all

Hi everyone!

I hope that you enjoyed your Thanksgiving (if you celebrate, if not, I hope you enjoyed your long weekend! :P)!

I am almost done preparing all my stuff so far to send to the appeal board (thanks to so many of you for the help). Rathika, I apologise that I still have not been in contact with you, it has been a hectic few weeks and I hope that you forgive me when you see this!

I am writing a cover letter... Which is coming out to be more of a love story (how we met, how our relationship progressed, how its continued since sponsorship/refusal). For anyone who has done their own ADR prep, is this a good idea for a cover letter? I feel like this is the one thing I am stuck on the most. :-\

yes it's a very good idea, i've done my ADR with the lawyer and the first thing she asked for was the letter because they need to see how the relationship started why it started etc

I have a question please...who could be my translator to translate my Facebook chat and the letters from my friends and relatives telling their feeling about our relationship. In the hearing though i don't need a translator because i can speak English very well. But on the Facebook chat that me and my husband did over the months we chatted in Punjabi words..although the alphabets are of English. Please advice me. I am waiting for the reply.

They can bring up some questions from the embassy and you will need to clarify the answer. They will then ask your spouse the same questions and your answer that was at the hearing will need to be matched with your spouses answer. just be prepared to be asked anything. My husband was asked to describe my drive to work. What kind of view I have, how long is my drive to and from work, what I do on my drive to work, is my highway safe etc. do I have a blue tooth in the car etc. it's all about how well you know each other and daily routine.
