Should you write to IRCC web FOR MORE ENQUIRIESHi guys,
I need some some help with this one. I got a passport request, and it's all confusing, they sent a letter saying I have to mail my passport to my country's visa office within 30 days so they can finalize it UNLESS I fall under their exception set out, the exception says if I'm currently in Canada - which I am - I can mail my passport to CPC-Ottawa instead. But then the letter goes on and says I have to mail two photographs to my country's visa office, it also states that if I'm from a country that requires a visa to visit Canada I should mail my original passport to my country's visa office.
I'm seriously confused, I don't wanna mail my passport to CPC-O and find out I should've sent them the photographs as well or something silly like that.
Thank you, I thought about using the web form, but they take weeks to reply so that wouldn't help much, I did e-mail CPC-O but I suspect that's also gonna take a long time.Should you write to IRCC web FOR MORE ENQUIRIES
That's exactly what I thought, I don't see how they need photographs and a different office needs the passport, unless the pictures are for something else, I inquired, but knowing how long they take, I'm thinking maybe I should ask a MP's office, they might get a reply faster than I would. I was kinda wondering if maybe they ALSO want your photographs and passport because they have to grant you a visitor visa if you are from a country that requires a visa to travel to Canada so you can use it with your CoPR, I don't even know if that's a thing, sounds silly now that I'm saying it haha.No not for that. A more senior member can answer her faster. I expect my husband to have a ppr from Morocco. As he is there, he will bring in person.
My thinking is the pr card is made in Canada. So wouldn't you send 2 photos & passport to Ottawa?
I had to wait around two weeks, some people wait a little longer, I think @MaryL got DM in under two weeks but has a bring forward date on their file.Does anyone know how long to get PPR after you submitted the requested forms and medical?.
No they do not send it to Morocco, they send it to Canadian address with copr he shows it to cbsa when landingNo not for that. A more senior member can answer her faster. I expect my husband to have a ppr from Morocco. As he is there, he will bring in person.

That doesnt make sense. How can he show it at landing if I have it. Why would I have to be the one to send it to Morocco. When they put the visa in the passport at Rabat Embassy. He needs all that to even fly. Not just land.No they do not send it to Morocco, they send it to Canadian address with copr he shows it to cbsa when landing
I think Carol got your hubby's file confused with mine or something like that, your CoPR will definitely go to Morocco as your hubby needs it to land, passport needs to go there to. In my case since I'm already here it's probably like you said, goes to Ottawa and gets sent back from there. I contacted MP and will wait a few days before I do anything. After all that gets sorted out I was hoping I'd be able to get an appointment with a nearby office to do my landing instead of having to cross back in, I read somewhere that's option, I don't wanna have to flagpoleThat doesnt make sense. Ahhh I see. Yes probably got us mixed up. I have done that on a different thread. Names sound the same. Sometimes situations sound almost exact.
